Tom's of MaineNatural Children's Fluoride Toothpaste, Outrageous Orange Mango, 4.2 Ounce

I have been using children's toothpaste to get something that is not filled with chemical whiteners. This toothpaste works well. I like the berry flavor better, but this one is okay - it tastes good, as well as doing a good job on my teeth.

One of the reasons my husband and I knew we were right for each other almost 40 years ago is.....we both can't stand mint toothpaste. We both grew up with nothing but mint toothpaste in our households as children!! It was always an unpleasant experience to brush our teeth! After a lot of trial and error with other flavors that claimed they had no mint but still gave us the "burn" inside our mouth and around our lips, we found Tom's Outrageous Orange Mango toothpaste. Yes, it says it is children's toothpaste, but there is no reason an adult cannot use this. We tried the Silly Strawberry flavor first, that is nice, but we both prefer the taste of this one! We have been using this toothpaste for a couple of years now. First time we have purchased on Amazon!This toothpaste is not gritty, does a great job of cleaning your teeth,and does not leave a bad aftertaste either. I would recommend it for both children and adults. Why buy two types of toothpaste? Also, the orange mango flavor is very mild, not too sweet,does NOT taste like bubble gum to us,and as I stated above, does not give you that "burn" you feel with mint toothpaste! It has the ADA Accepted seal on it (American Dental Association) which is good enough for me. I floss my teeth regularly, use a WaterPik and brush with this twice a day. My dental hygienist has been giving me positive reviews on my dental checkups and I have never told her I use this toothpaste.The only people who may not like this are those that prefer the "minty fresh" taste in their mouth after brushing. Considering 99.9% of all the toothpastes are mint flavored, those people can rest assured they will always be able to find their mint toothpaste!!

Bought the orange/mango flavor for myself. I don't like sharp, minty toothpaste, am allergic to cinnamon pastes, and have been looking for fluoridated alternatives to those two common flavors. This Tom's product is one of the few that meet the two criteria of: don't hurt my mouth and be fluoridated. Both myself and my spouse tested this brand.Taste: The taste is not what I expected at all. It's difficult to describe. Vaguely citrus, vaguely sweet. Not really any mango. I'm ok with it but it's not my favorite. Spouse liked the flavor.Foam: This toothpaste is low on foam and will be watery by the time you're ready to spit. I like a good amount of foam, my spouse likes less foam.Performance: Like some other "natural" toothpastes I've tried this one doesn't leave my mouth with a long lasting fresh feeling. When I brush before bed, by the morning my mouth feels yucky as if I forgot to brush. Spouse noticed the same thing. Neither myself nor my spouse are a fan of this. He's gone back to his regular toothpaste and I'm unlikely to buy this brand again without improvements. I commend brands for trying to make different products like this so I hope they do.

I DETEST mint. Or Cinnamon. I gag and my eyes tear up when I’m exposed to it, and if someone is chewing mint gum within a 5-mile radius of me, I want to punch them in the face for making me smell the inside of their mouths.Goes without saying that I can NOT abide mint or cinnamon toothpaste, so this stuff is a HOLY GRAIL for me! It's the only non-mint toothpaste I can find, and it works great!Note - It's not a gel. (It’s white).It's definitely not artificial sweet, so you DO have to get used to the taste. Now that I'm used to it, I can't ever use anything else, although my husband tried it and said it was the grossest thing he’s ever encountered.As for efficiency, I think it works well, and my dentist says I take very good care of my teeth.So THERE, mint. You can just sit on it!

This toothpaste was a wonderful surprise. I am an adult, actually a senior citizen, with a very sensitive dry mouth. Most mint flavored toothpastes cause me real problems. I had used Biotene toothpaste for a long time, but they changed their formulations and I can no longer use any of their products. In desperation I went to the local stores and searched amazon for alternatives. I ordered several supposedly gentle mint brands, but they varied from horrible to still cause sensitivity issues. I had solved my post Biotene mouthwash problem with an orange flavored one from Natural Dentist so when I saw the Tom's orange children's toothpaste I figured what the heck, at least they will go together. What a wonderful surprise. I love the taste, very natural and not overly sweet, and there are no sensitivity issues at all. It is a pleasure to brush my teeth. This is a great toothpaste. Haven't had a dentist visit since I started using it, but I trust Tom's. I am now totally free of my Biotene reformulation disaster and happy as can be. You might say I feel like a kid again.

I switched my son from the Tom's of Main non-fluoride, strawberry flavored toothpaste to this fluoridated one when he was 2-3 years old and I was sure he knew not to swallow the toothpaste. He absolutely loves the orange-mango flavor but still understands he needs to spit it out. He was running out of this toothpaste, and I had it on Amazon Subscribe & Save, so I purchased a cheap, bubble gum flavored kids toothpaste from a local store, and he hated, so I ordered this again. It is definitely more expensive than other kids' toothpastes (hence the reduction in rating by one star), but he really doesn't like any other flavors, so we're sticking with this one.

Flavour is very nice and smell is also good. First my daughter refuse to do brush after she taste the toothpaste, she started to ask daily to do brush.

Me gusta el aroma y que no hace espuma como las marcas del súper. No tiene colorantes y lo que más me gusta es que no tiene sabor chicle y esos saborizantes tan dulces que le suelen poner a las pastas infantiles.

My 4 year old loves this toothpaste. And I love that I don't have to fight with him to brush his teeth anymore!

Buen producto , el sabor está más o menos sabe algo raro como que no se distingue si a naranja o mango pero es un excelente producto
