This is a great product only wish that it was more sleek looking!

Easy enough to install to control LED strip lights. The wires going in and out of this unit are very thin (I had to make some splices to allow for extra cord length) and the wire and the controller itself can get quite hot when my lights are at full-bright. I know this is typical of any type of dimmer (the extra energy needs to go somewhere and so it's shed as heat) but It honestly does not feel like it's built to handle the AMP's they advertise it can handle. We will see how long they last, but so far, so good.

When I ordered this it was described as working with 5vdc, which it does not, the description has since been changed and I was offered a refund.*Update* The seller apologized for the incorrect description and refunded the full purchase price without requiring me to return the incorrect item. I have bumped my rating up one star for good customer service.

This works well, but it appears that the max brightness happens somewhere between one third and one half of the travel on the dimmer knob. I checked it with an oscilloscope and it is ramping the frequency. So I believe the issue is that it is doing so linearly instead of logarithmically. Other than the weirdness with the early brightness, this dimmer worked perfectly for my needs.

Bought a string of lights for the back of my 65" TV. The string came with a similar dimmer. The dimmer stopped working after a couple of months. Ordered this dimmer which looks exactly alike, but this one works perfectly.
