I'll be the first to admit that I am not a car expert. I can't tell you the difference between a muffler and a tailpipe if my life depended on it. I found it on Amazon for just under $200 and decided to give it a shot. Installation was pretty simple and took me about an hour from start to finish.So far, I've been very happy with the results. The alternator seems to be working perfectly and is significantly quieter than the old one. Overall, I'm very pleased with the DB Electrical AND0577 Alternator and would recommend it to anyone in need of a new alternator for their Ford F150 XLT.All in all, I'm very happy with the DB Electrical AND0577 Alternator. Works well under a load. I have 3 cooling fans with separate relays as well as headlight relays. No noticeable drop on voltage meter when they kick on.
