Best since Paris
This is high quality. Only place you can get better is in France.

tasty, different, a decadent little treat.
i have been looking for, from time to time, little tasty treats that i have never had before. this was love at first bite; yes expensive, but truly different. i had it on town house crackers. this is not very strong, so i think you need to stick to a cracker that is not overly flavored, salted, etc. in order to let the rillettes shine. if you chill this first, you are going to want to let it come to about room temperature as the fat in this does separate out and you will need to mix. the texture is that of a fine shred, not puree' and very nice. i poked around for a recipe, and while readily available, so time consuming that i would probably not make from scratch unless i felt i had quite a number of others that would enjoy as well. did serve to illustrate the time and effort put into making this delicacy from scratch, but will look around to see if i can find elsewhere for less. if not, i'll be back for an occasional treat to be sure.

Approved by French person :)
French guy and American gal here.We loved it! Tastes just like in France. The meat is a little more like “muscular/dry” (as in less fat content) but not dry (as in less water). Delicious!Rillette usually comes with a layer of white fat on top. This one doesn’t.Note that it’s made in Canada not France nor US. I personally had some trouble w/ canadian products as they misreport use of milk and egg products on their labels (hard to believe they’d do worse than the FDA... but they do...)Turns out it goes down super nicely as well. Very digestible.

This duck meat is good for the soul as well as for the tastebuds.
Perfectly tender and beautifully seasoned! I can pretend i'm back in SW France, teaching my poetry workshop. Alas, not this year, but the duck meat is a beautiful consolation! I apologize to the duck community, but their sacrifice has not been in vain! Highly recommended. I keep buying! (Luckily, my husband is a vegetarian!)

Not bad
I thought I was getting pate oh, but didn't read enough. Taste pretty good, with a texture of shredded duck mixed in with it

Absolutely delicious
I live in a vegan household, but am type-O blood-type. I love, love my vegetables, and every now and then, I just want some decadent meat something. This fits the bill. And it goes beautifully with red wine, especially Pinot Noir.

Too risky!
This was just ok. Probably wasnt meant to suffer the Florida heat during shipping. Was expensive so tried a bit on a cracker but taste was off and wasn't comfortable risking it. Would not recommend this as a mail order item, even with Prime membership, which I have and love!!
