LloydsPharmacy Non-Contact Thermometer

I purchased this thermometer after it came top in “Which” magazine and my “Braun” in ear device kept showing 35c. The Covid vaccine centre staff were not impressed with the “Braun” performance.The device arrives with 2 AAA batteries. Which is not clear in the Amazon listing. It is easy to use, light and accurate. You have to set it up for forehead temperature use. Since it can be set for clothes temperature. There is a forehead icon. Just the led power button goes blue and then green when a temperature is taken. You hold it 0.5cm from your forehead. I also like the no touch factor. The Braun in ear requires refills which were difficult to buy at the height of covid.Overall it is an excellent product, well presented, easy to use and accurate. Once received and set up leave it about 30 minutes at room temperature before taking your first reading.I would buy this product again.

The thermometer frequently displays an error reading or simply an incorrect reading. Despite inserting new batteries the faults remain unchanged

I've researched many articles in order to find the most suitable thermometer to be used by children and adults.It's important to mention that this particular one come on the top of recent survey carried on by "Which" comparison website.Materials and quality of design feel superb, also in terms of readings this thermometer gives really consistent and accurate results (measurement is instantaneous).Backlight illuminates in green, amber and red according to measured temperature, has memory function and can be set to check liquids and any other solid materials.All in all I can't fault this product.

Compared to a traditional glass mercury thermometer this seems quite accurate. However, contrary to the instruction booklet, it does not bleep to indicate that it is ready nor to indicate that the reading is complete. The display is easy to read and the colours are correct.

I bought this to use post-surgery and during chemo, when I had to keep a sharp eye out for infection detected by a rise in temperature. I found this thermometer quick and easy to use, and reassuringly consistent in it’s results.

Does the job.

We bought this thermometer back in Nov 2022 and it was OK back then. Now that we need it for our little one who is sick it is actually completely inaccurate, showing 37.1 degrees when she was actually 38.6 (at the doctor!). I've changed the batteries, same problem. This is actually dangerous!! Would not recommend

Had to return it due to reading the same temperature on a family of six people three had symptoms and three did not :-(
