TemessoWine Barrel Cut in Half, Made of Rustic Oak Wood - as Mini Pond, Diameter 70 cm (Natural - with Holding Loops)

This was larger than I thought (how often do you hear that in a review).I followed the filling instructions to re-hydrate the wood and make it water tight. Initially it leaked, but then settled down and stopped leaking. The only issue I have is the wine is seeping into the water making it a very very light shade of red. I am on my 3rd refill at the moment, but I'm not sure if it will ever stop and leave the water clear.Sure, I can buy a liner, but that would spoil the whole look.I'm going to re-fill it once more and put plants in it and get the water feature running and see how this goes. If the water remains non-clear, then I will have to get a liner. Don't want to do this really as surely that could dry out the barrel and eventually make it fall apart.... .

The barrel arrived in good time. I read the instructions and attempted to move the bottom hoop back up to its proper position as it had slipped down. I couldn't move it as it was too stiff. I filled it with water and let it stand. After a week it was still leaking so I had to buy a liner for it and start again. The barrel is lovely but it's probably not best for a patio pond.

Quality of the item is excellent also it is heavy so may need two people to carry

It leaks even I've done everything as the instruction says. However it doesn't lose the water completely and it does the job.It stinks quite badly at first. I've been keeping this nearly a month so mostly the old wine smell is gone.Happy about it. I would recommend to wear gloves when people handling it.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered this half wine barrel to create a small water feature for my garden. Extremely satisfied.The barrel was delivered promptly. As expected, it’s quite heavy (30kg), so it took a certain amount of effort to manoeuvre it through my house to the back garden.I filled it with water and left it for about five days, in order for the wooden staves to swell, eliminating any tiny leaks. Don’t put a plastic liner in this sort of barrel, as this may let the barrel dry out. After “seasoning” the barrel for a few days, I emptied it out and pressure washed it to remove any lingering dirt or contamination.After that, it was a matter of adding fresh water, a selection of aquatic marginal plants, and a small pump. Make sure the pump you use isn’t too powerful. I originally tried a 1400 l/hr pump which was way too much. I ended up with a 350 l/hr unit, which has enough head to make a pleasing arc of water, a delightful trickle sound. And only uses about 8 watts of electricity.A great barrel. Perfect for my small English garden water feature.

Very plreased with this half a barrel just the job for a small outdoor pool soaked it in water for two days then jet washed it refilled it and put a set of airatersbin it and in two weeks time i can add a few little fish cant wait👍

Lovely product, nice and large, ideal for our garden

The barrel is great, but has not been cut square. So fitting a water pump was made more difficult.
