Go used if you can; beware data collection
These are pretty great fans! They look awesome in my case and don’t seem to produce a ludicrous amount of noise. As others have mentioned, NZXT’s CAM software is notorious for collecting data that you can’t opt out of, so take that into account before you buy these. I will say I had reservations about it, but I haven’t seen much network usage from the CAM software. It could be hidden elsewhere, or it could be because I haven’t created any sort of account for the software and I log in to it as a “guest”.I bought used “very good” and “like new” options for these at a steep discount and couldn’t be happier. I’d suggest considering it as an option if you’re willing to take the risk of having to send them back to amazon. I personally didn’t have to go through the trouble.

Worked right away.
Recently I ordered a used Hue 2 lighting kit and paid way to much for it. Nzxt products are hard to find right now. After hours of messing around, I could not get it to work. So I returned it and looked around for something else.As it turns out this simple Rgb & Fan device is newer than any of the Hue units....And is massively cheaper right now.Plugged in 2 Aer 2 rgb 140mm fans into fan1 and Led 1, two Aer P kraken fans into the other two fan channels, Sata power, usb header...Turned on Cam and boom worked right away. Looks fantastic.

RGB headers only work with NZXT products.
Screw NZXT and their proprietary garbage. None of my fans can connect to their RGB headers on this thing. It's clearly designed to only fit NZXT products or anything that just happens to be the size. I have a disability that makes installation of this kind of stuff a small nightmare. I then realize after 30 minutes that it's going to be impossible to finish. I'll never buy an NZXT product again.

Works great on my CPU cooler in my NZXT H510 Elite case
I replaced the fan on my CPU cooler with this fan in my NZXT H510 Elite case. I set up the light on the CPU fan to mimic the same patterns as the fans on the front of the case and it looks great. To get around the data collection issues people have with the software, I never created an account and use it as a guest, and I blocked it from being able to connect to the internet using Norton's firewall settings. There is absolutely no reason NZXT should be gathering any info about my fans or system unless I specifically opt-in for some reason. It's a great fan if you have a compatible case/controller. It's quiet and looks awesome. And I got a great value buying an open box one from Warehouse Deals.

Excellent upgrade from the standard NZXT case fans
First of all, if you have an NZXT N7 motherboard you DO NOT need the RGB & fan controller! You simply plug the end of the wire that would go into the RGB & fan controller into the NZXT RGB controller ports located directly above the RAM slots on the motherboard. (See picture)The fan itself is great, basically the same as the default case fan that came with my H510, but with the added RGB aesthetic. It is very quiet which is important to me because I can’t stand feeling like my rig is going to take off next to me.Overall, highly recommend these fans as a replacement for the H510 case!

Great fans a few things to watch out for but after that they’re great
Fans where super nice and feel and look super high quality they provided a lot of ventilation and look super good for being on my first build, they are a little pricey, and setting them up within the nzxt h510 elite case it was just confusing being a first build figuring out how I would daisy chain them but after a few puzzled stares it becomes pretty self explanatory, highly recommend them. One last thing is that if you instal in this case and at least the asus rog b550 mother board you will need to plug in your 8 pin cpu cable first because the fan is a little too thick and you won’t be able to fit it in later on

No where near enough fan controller ports!
The problem with this is their isn't enough fan ports you literally need two of these even for an average case! I'm use an ATX Full tower case so much larger and has like 9 fans in it I'm gonna need three of these things all said and done which is obsurd. How about you make a new one like the older one or like the Corsair one that can actually deal with an entire case !

NZXT Makes Great Products
I wanted to replace the non-RGB fan in my NZXT h510i elite with an RGB one. The exhaust fan on NZXT cases is 120 mm, so this is exactly what I needed. The fan came with the necessary fan and RGB cables which made installation easy. It has run great so far, synced up immediately, and has made barely any noise so far. As always, I will continue buying NZXT.

Natural complement for NZXT's H510 Elite case.
These NZXT AER2 RGB fans match the front fans that come with the H510 Elite case and are the natural choice to upgrade the top and rear fans. Pros - Connects easily to the Cam-powered Smart Device2 that comes with the H510 Elite - no other hubs or controllers needed. - Fluid dynamic bearings are quieter and give better performance than the rifle-bearing fans NZXT started including as standard. - 4 pin RGB wire will daisy-chain from front fans (cables reach best if rear fan chains to top fan then to front) - RGB is tastefully subdued and limited to outer ring. Cons - Primarily designed to work within NZXT's Cam powered ecosystem ( though not a con if that's what you're using) Note that the H510 Elite case supports two 140 mm in front, one 140 or 120 mm fan on top, and a 120 mm fan on rear.

Noisy, bulky, but still succ air and look good
Don't buy if you're not already locked into the NZXT eco system and own an NZXT hue or fan controller, only works with their fan control and software. If you are in the eco system and have an nzxt fan controller/hue this is your only option for controllable RGB fans, though you can go static LED. Looks amazing and personally I have zero issues with the software/hardware, though the fan wiring can be complicated for beginners.

Nice fans, Look good, Work good.
These work with the NZXT Cam unit, so just be aware of that. They look quite nice and seem to be quality pieces, which is good, as they are not cheap. I just got tired of cheaper ones that did not work with the motherboard and just work standalone, these can be controlled with CAM software. If your not wanting NZXT software, then stay away!

Premium fan, but unfortunately an overly premium price point.
A great fan that holds its own against the likes of Corsair's Magnetic Lev Fans. It's quiet and can move good amounts of air. Would have been 5 stars, but it's too expensive for what it is. I'd only recommend if you have the extra money.
