Comfortable and the right size
I use this as a seat cushion for extra height and cushion on a low car seat. The foam is the right density. The thickness is good for comfort and lift. The cover is a bit thin, but should last at least a year.I will buy another when needed.Thumbs up!

The Wedge: A Game-Changer for Elderly Wheelchair Users
Well, well, well, looks like we've got a "slippery" situation on our hands! But fear not, my dear friend, for the solution has arrived in the form of a magical wedge! Thanks to the sage advice of your mother-in-law's home health nurse, this wedge has come to the rescue, ensuring that your dear ol' mama-in-law stays upright in her wheelchair. No more slippery slopes for her!And not only does it keep her from sliding off, but it also gives her a little boost in the knee department, preventing her from attempting any daring escapes. Huzzah! In short, this wedge is worth its weight in gold (or maybe even diamonds, if you're feeling fancy). So let's give a round of applause to the wedge, the unsung hero of the wheelchair world!

Doesn't last long before the foam compresses and you have a flat pad about 2" thick.
Okay for a short while but not for a heavy person as the foam compresses very quickly and doe's not recover. I suppose it would be okay for a light weigh though. My wife weighs 185 and the cushion only lasted about 2 weeks and I had to get a custum cushion made to replace it.

Great to prevent elderly from sliding off chair!
This product was recommended by the adult day care where I take my grandma. She is very elderly and has trouble staying upright so she started to slide off the wheelchair even with having the pedals on! This wedge works great because it helps her stay upright due to the slant. Also, since it lifts her knees slightly, it prevents her from trying to slide off. Very worth it!!

Slippery so wrap cushion in towel
I ordered this 4" wedged cushion to help relieve pressure on my "sit bone". The foam is firm with enough give to be comfortable. I put it on my desk chair and it relieved the pressure by angling my body back onto my tailbone where I have no pain, but the cushion was slippery and kept sliding forward. I made a "pillowcase" from a terrycloth bath towel and slid the cushion into the case. Now the cushion stays in place on my chair and sitting is not so painful anymore. I tried the 3" cushion, but it did not help so I'm sending that one back. Until you know if you are going to keep the cushion, be sure to keep the paper wrapper and box since it must be boxed with a postage paid label provided by Amazon if you plan to return it via UPS.

Works
Keeps her from sliding from chair, my only wish is that it would be gel rather than just foam.

Surprisingly good!
I bought this hoping it would help keep my from sliding forward in a recliner chair. It has not only done that, it's also very comfortable on the part of the body it is in contact with!

it'll be great. If you want to put the tall end ...
Very soft and squishy. If you want this for a cushion, it'll be great. If you want to put the tall end under your knees to keep you from sliding forward out of a chair, the 4" version will probably work (your legs will squish it a little, but unless your legs are very heavy the sheer height of the thing will keep it from squishing all the way). Because it is so squishy, I would not recommend the 3" version, it probably won't be tall enough and might just squish under you.If you want to sit on this as a posture wedge (tall end behind you to tilt your pelvis forward) it is WAY too soft for that - it _completely_ collapses if you sit on the tall end. Unfortunately that is what I wanted it for, so I had to return it -- but I don't want to leave it a negative review because I do think it could be very good used the other way around to stop someone from sliding out of a wheelchair.
