They are not making steamers like they used to. I have two others. This one has bigger holes and the feet fasteners are not flush or non extistent like my other two. It Does fit well in a small pot and it Does wash well in the dishwasher. I looked at the other steamer brands and they all seem to have the bigger holes now as well has noticably raised knobs that hold the feet up.

Excellent little steamer tray if you need one for your kitchen. It can fold up pretty small or expand fairly wide. At fully extended it fit well inside my largest Pan which is about 13” in diameter. If you need a smaller shape you can keep it folded up as well. Either way it works well with three metal legs on the bottom to keep it out of the water. There is also a fourth pin with a small ring that you can insert into the middle to make it easier to remove when you’re done. Interestingly even though it is all metal that center pin was actually cool enough for me to handle after letting it sit for about 30-60 seconds after turning off the stovetop.So far I’ve used it for steaming some tamales and dumplings and it’s worked fantastically for both of them. You could easily use this is pretty much any pot or pan for steaming and makes an excellent addition to the kitchen.

This steamer is good for steaming vegetables. Steaming is among the best ways to prepare vegetables because the colors, flavors, and nutrients remain, yet the vegetables can still be done to taste without additives.I tried this steamer to prepare frozen vegetables for two meals recently. It's just the right size for two people, and it does fit to the saucepan used for steaming. The flavor, color, and texture remained, and any additives (seasonings) came from me, not a factory.Steaming does take a little practice and supervision of the process. It takes a little practice to see how much water to put in the saucepan before placing the steamer with the vegetables, and it takes a little skill and supervision to be sure the water is at the just right temperature and not evaporating.With this practice, though, I think that this steamer will be frequently used in my kitchen.

I brought it so i can do a quick steam in my rice cooker. The size is good to made a side dish. Easy to clean in top rack dishwasher. The best past is that it can be fold to a small basket and save spaces when store.

Less mess to clean after using this! Really convenient & easy to use for steaming food. Food comes out throughly steamed to perfection every time!

This is essentially the same collapsible metal steamer basket. The same thing that has adorned thrift shop kitchen areas for over half a century. This one absolutely works, fits in different sized pans, and it steamed broccoli with the quality of any perforated metal object with steam coming through it.I did a quick search, the first patent I could find for one of these was 1950, and there have been others since. but it's all variations on the same design.The description suggests it's good for many uses, and shows sandwiches kind of haphazardly stacked in the basket. You could certainly use it for sandwiches, or really anything, but honestly, almost anyone would ask you why you're serving sandwiches in a steamer basket. Brownie points to the vendor for creativity in marketing.The actual product is, as it claims,-- Easy to use-- Easy to clean-- Fits different sized pots-- Can be used as a fruit bowl (this is not an untrue statement)-- Quality materials, they certainly seem to be. I'll know better in a month of using it.This particular basket is reasonably priced, and well worth the cost if you need a steamer basket, or a fruit bowl, or maybe a unique way to serve sandwiches. Also gets point for nostalgia, since I'm certain both of my grandmothers had at least one of these, probably a couple of them.

I knew I’d love this before I ordered it I had one like this years ago. This one is better made and should last a long time. It will fit in multiple size pots and folds up nicely for easy storage. You can turn almost any pot into a steamer!!
