My go-to noodle
Like any ‘alternative’, we can’t expect it to perfectly mimic the standard food. So I didn’t expect these to taste or feel like pasta. What I wanted was a noodle that works in noodle dishes- from Thai to Italian. And these do the job. I’ve tested the spaghetti, fettuccine and the thin noodles. My favourite is the thin because the rubberiness is less noticeable. They cook up very fast and feel better when not overdone. Think of them as precooked. The initial smell is odd, I hold my breath and quickly get them under a tap for a rinse. The fact that they can hold my sauces, have no carbs or calories but add bulk to a meal and help fill me up is amazing. Worth a try for anyone on a diet or low carb lifestyle.

On a low-carb diet, these are good substitutes
I'm trying a low-carb diet and I'm finding it difficult to not have any rice pasta or noodles so I was willing to give these a try. When I first open them up, I was a bit taken back by the terrible smell Apparently, this is completely normal and when you wash them under cold water, the smell does go away They are made of a Japanese vegetable so they have fibre in them but no carbohydrate and no calories what's not to like. For me, they are a reasonable sized portion a friend described the noodles as like eating rubber bands, but if you put enough crispy vegetables in with them and plenty of seasoning, they're actually okay Would I prefer real rice real noodles real pasta? of course I would, but at the moment I require something that approximates to those. They are about the same price as if you buy microwave rice, which I admit I have done. They keep for a long time I should continue using them

Nothing even close to Rice
I am doing a keto diet so trying lots of different things to keep my diet low carb, I saw these and thought why not give them a go would be nice to have some rice alongside a few of my dishes, knowing a lot of keto products are never quite the same was not expecting an exact replacement by any means just something similar in texture but was definitely expecting better than what turned up.I'm not sure who thought they would make a good rice alternative but whoever it was has obviously never eaten rice before, they feel almost like slime to the touch and the texture in the mouth is horrible, they have a strange odour and the taste wasn't good either.I will never buy these again

Decent but wash it well!!
So this stuff is a bit weird. You have to rinse it like mad to stop it tasty fishy. But if you do the texture is actually quite nice. I liked it. It’s a great rice pasta replacement and fab for keto.

Great keto/diabetic carb replacement
Have bought these several times, they are ideal as a replacement for rice or pasta with a sauce. The low carbs and calories make these great for following a Keto/diabetic diet, for those who want a pasta replacement without the high carbs/calories. There isn’t really a taste to these, but they support a chilli, a sauce etc really well.

Not for me…
When I saw this product I was amazed at the calories per portion and it gave me ideas for healthy meals. They say you might want to wash it on opening and I would highly recommend doing so. The smell of the fluid it is kept in is unappetising to say the least. It was almost enough to make me throw them away then and there. I wish I had. I did eventually get rid of most of the smell by washing the noodles multiple times. When warmed up and added to my stir fry they were ok, albeit an odd texture. The upset stomach the next day was what really put me off. I threw the rest of them away and I achieved my healthy eating goal via portion size control.
