Sta-Tru bicycle wheels are the MINIMUM standard for a good wheel. The Sta-Tru 24 X 1.5 (ISO 20-507) wheel is built to spec originally using OEM parts from ALEX Rim/Weinmann Hub or equivalent if un-marked. Sometimes it will be marked, sometimes it will not be. If you MUST HAVE the Alex/Weinmann, then go for the item listing labeled so, not this one. The rim is or is equivalent to an Alex Y2000 youth aluminum alloy rim with a thin 25mm profile on the outside – your brakes must be able to clear AND squeeze this width. The BSD is 507mm for "24 x DECIMAL" tires. The BSW inside the rim lip is 20mm. The rim is NOT weld finished. There is a razor thin gap on the opposite side of the valve hole. The spokes are UCP... chrome plated; they will rust from nicks and scratches so try to keep them dry. Originally meant for bike shop installation, the axle and ball bearings will ship dry without grease cuz shops don't want grease in storage. The wheel does not ship with a rim strip installed either. The spokes will poke a hole in your tubes without one. At least use duct tape or gauze tape to seal up the spoke holes. Ships trued from Sta-Tru but we all know what happens in storage and during transport. So inspect each wheel when it arrives for dents, scratches, bends, etc.

Good inexpensive bike rims
This rims came in a flimsy box but he quality of the product is very good. For the price it is much cheaper than trying to overhaul and or tune up standard stock rims you would get from the manufacturer

Great replacement wheel 24" Trek
Excellent replacement wheel for my daughter's Trek bicycle. I thought it may be very noticeably cheaper than the original wheel, but you really cannot tell the difference except for the sticker with the brand name. Works well and the price is good.
