Rating this 5 stars only because the lightbulbs worked well and I don’t want to hurt this products reputation.If you’re buying this specifically with the intention to use them with Alexa, it does not work. Amazon’s picture of the package is not accurate. Good customer service though by Amazon on this issue…hopefully they update this page to remove “works with Alexa”

I have been using these Cync products for several years, even before GE relabeled them as Cync, and I have been thoroughly impressed for the price point. We have a mix of these, RGB, and on/off only Cync bulbs in at least 7-8 different lights and they work very reliably with Alexa, or with the Cync app. We also use Cync ceiling fan switches and all of the devices work very reliably, still shocked they are this cheap.

They work as advertised but I have plenty of issues with them losing connection to Alexa. They seem to always work great when using the GE CYNC app on my phone but when I use the voice commands through Alexa it they don't work so great. Often have to say the command two or three times. Sometimes it won't connect at all.

There is no option in the bulb’s settings to connect this model to WiFi. Save yourself the trouble and buy the more expensive version with the RGB option as these are able to be paired with WiFi. Otherwise you’ll have to be in the room and wait for one of the bulbs to pair to your phones Bluetooth while the app is open.

I have these bulbs within our home and love them. The app is easy to use and we recently bought a dot. Now Google and Alexa can be used even at the same time. These did not work properly because the power switch is a dimmer switch. I did not know these lights as well as sensor lights will not work correctly with that kind of power switch. As soon as the switch is changed to an on/off switch, I will buy again.

We love using the Cync light bulbs. I’ve created a whole ecosystem in the apartment and different scenes to fit the “mood.” Personally I like the multi-color changing lights the best, but the warm/cool tone is the second best (I think they’re cheaper). The system works really well! I have considered switching to the Phillip hue lights, but the price for Cync is good. I definitely recommend!

However linking them to Alexa and creating routines may have complicated my life, as I have so far been unsuccessful at deleting the routines. My lights keep coming on before I get home on weekends, in other words. But being able to turn the lights off and on from my tablet and phone means I can read in bed or after dark and still find my way around when I'm done, or wake up, without feeling and stumbling around for a switch. Being able to adjust the light levels is great too. I waste less electricity and am safer. Thanks to Alexa I can turn my lights off and on from wherever when I'm not home, or set them to help me wake up.Having a good time learning what all can be done with these lights, especially the full-spectrum ones. As these are not full-spectrum, but are still dimmable.

I decided to keep them because they work with the app. I do like the ability to dim & change from warm to cool light. They do NOT work well with Alexa. I have dozens of smart devices from plugs to thermostats…. I have multiple echo devices & have never had an issue.It is disappointing. Also, if your recessed lights are to close together I recommend putting them up only one bulb at a time. It may recognize 2 bulbs as one (which is extremely odd) so it is not easy to operate separately.They are quirky but are workable. I will go with a different brand in the future
