CASE-MATE CM037704 Carbon Fibre Case for Apple iPhone XS/X - Black

The CaseMate iPhoneXS Protection Carbon case adds a lot of protection to the case against drops. It is a 2 part case and a tight fit, but I did not have any problem with inserting my iPhoneXS into the case. Unfortunately the access slot for the Ringer Mute Switch is so small as to almost be inaccessible unless you have very small fingers with long nails. Otherwise you have to use something like a key or a pen tip to reach the switch. This was not always convenient for me, so I wound up taking an x-acto knife to the case and carving out the access port so I could fit my finger in the slot. For a "premium" case this is poorly designed and I am very disappointed. For future iteration considerations (1) Apple could provide a little more separation between the mute switch and the volume buttons so the access port could be widened (2) CaseMate could enlarge the access port (if I can do it with an x-acto knife, CaseMate can do it too - I realize that this might make the case a little less pleasing to the eye, but if you can't access your phone functions because of the case, what good is the case? (3) Provide some kind of external switch to operate the mute like they do for the volume buttons. Bottom line: I would not buy again or recommend this case.

It was a perfect fit for the iPhone XS and it feels great in my hands. I have used Case-mate for all my iPhone and have never had a problem!
