Clear evidence that this was a return and tried to ship it to another customer. Received the cargo bag dirty and all tie-down straps were unravelled and instruction page was all crumpled. I contacted MeeFar (manufacturer) directly and although they can’t help me directly because I live in Canada they were very helpful. I’m just writing this review so the manufacturer doesn’t get a bad rap. You might be asking why don’t I just return it for a new and clean one. I need the cargo bag right away because of planned trip. Still waiting to hear back from the seller but doubt very much anything will come from this.

I have not taken in out on a trip yet, but seems well enough constructed. I hope the frame works out. Just a test fit and will strap down better...

I was hesitant to buy this product because a lot of the ratings for this bag and others like it talked about leaking. It does not leak and was the perfect size for my platform hitch. I packed it a week before my trip and it rained every day. I then drove 2400 miles using only the provided straps to secure it. The provided combination lock is not great but no one bothered it at night. Held 4 medium sized boxes, my tow dolly and a lot of linen.

Worked great for our rear cargo hitch, 6 people on vacation all fit!! It is definitely a sturdy, heavy duty construction. I imagine many years of use - but of course assuming normal vacation periods, not like it's on a cargo carrier all year long! Super easy to set up. The orange coloring is perfect for rear traffic warning. VERY STURDY indeed. HINT/TIP - flip up the orange flange to better maneuver the zipper during use. It is awkward to zip without flipping that up out of way. Makes the process of zip/unzip operate more easily. Then flip it back down, using (included) velcro tabs sewn into the seams, to further secure. Then pull straps tight - tie down loose ends (we actually made a braid out of 3 adjacent straps) and hit the road. We also plan to use it in back of our pickup truck - since our tonneau cover broke...this cargo carrier will serve great purpose in back of truck when travelling.

I recently bought and used this heavy duty vinyl bag for the first time. I traveled 2000 miles in 5 days. Despite heavy rain, snow and wind, the bag kept everything dry and secure. It is spacious and held approx 400+ lbs of gear (my trailer-hitch rack is rated to 500 lbs). I did follow the advice of a previous reviewer and build a lightweight internal PVC frame. - Pros: Totally dry inside. Reasonably durable but I did tear a securing strap buckle that was easily repaired with clear silicone glue. Light weight considering enormous volume. - Cons: As a previous reviewer noted, I could not open the back of my Tahoe without releasing the 2 near door side buckles and rolling the bag away from the car - a 2 person job!***** A big plus for me is that this hitch rack and bag did not alter the usual mileage in my Tahoe! In the past, roof racks have cut 1-2 MPG off my usual 17.3 MPG but note I cruise at 75-80 MPH through Nevada, Idaho and Montana! WHO was that masked man? - Pro tip: Totally evert the rain flaps at the two front corners prior to trying to make the zippers go smoothly around the bends.
