This is a ridiculous little booklet called a guide. Not a single picture of places to see. Very limited detail. Save your money and buy a real guide.

This is a very general guideline. Some info is out of date even though the title suggests otherwise. One example is that they recommend taking plenty of sun screen, but neglect to mention that sun screen in Hawaii must be without certain ingredients in order to protect the eco system. This has been in effect for several years.

This book is 100% useless. There is very little information in here that is usable.

As a first time visitor to the islands, I was looking for a SHORT guide I could read on the flight over. I didn’t want to spend more than a half hour reading and this guide was perfect for that. If you’re looking for more details on places to go, then go for a larger guide but this is great if Hawaii is brand new to you and you’re just looking for a quick book to read.

You absolutely need this guide if you’re planning a trip to Hawaii. From what to pack to the island to restaurants you need to eat at, parks you need to see, excursions to do and animals that are different than you’ve encountered at home. This book has it all in one place.
