Like other gel pads we have had before they have a life span of use in the amount on time it will stay cooling you before it starts absorbing your heat instead, these ones did seem quite thin but do last a few hours in the pillow from a cold fridge before you need to move away from them or take them out otherwise they become more like heat packs, so if you are using them in bed to help aid a cool night's sleep they are good if you can roll off of them during the night but if you have someone next to you then you will find you will wake up with a heater underneath your head and need to flip the pillow or take.them out. But the are good for immediate cooling from the fridge when you are too hot.

these are great for me to relieve the pain in my legs and feet they cool well especially when kept in the fridge i found putting them in a pillowcase makes them more comfy

I bought these to help in the hot weather at night. They are brilliant when you are warm and you just get into bed, but they do warm up when your head has been on them, so be prepared to find your own comfortable way to use them. I did put them in the pillow case initially, but then realised they can get a little warm where my head has been, so they become a little uncomfortable. I now just use one of them on the outside of the pillow and move it when it gets warm. Great to have 2 in the pack, as when one gets warm, I just swap them over. Definitely helps in the heat but they do warm a little
