Just a Little Annoying- and DOUBLE SECRET BONUS PARTS
For full disclosure, I bought this kit from an online hobby shop. I assume it is the same inside the box.It is very small but I believe it is HO scale. The doors look HO scale. Model Railroaders compress a lot of scenery. This has been compressed for us.It says it has decals and printed signs. I do not think it has decals, as the so called decals are on the same sheet as the printed signs. When I see decals, I assume water slide decals- that means you soak it and slide the decal off onto where you want it. Being a trusting soul, I soaked the "decal" and nothing happened. Definately a printed sign. I just left off the signs under the gables because there are some very nice windows behind the signs. Looks very "Dr. Strange...."The kit is molded in yellow, red and clear, which is very nice. Hoever, ONE PART (so far) is molded in red and it SHOULD be yellow. This is not a killer if you have yellow paint (I was lucky) or if you can get some.Unfortunately it is the front facade of the building. Very fixable but very annoying, as everything else is plug and play- uh more or less (?)!You cannot have the touch of a blacksmith if you want to build this kit. The best tool I use is the small scissor on a swiss army knife- cuts parts away from the tree somewhat easily. One window frame with gossimer frames bent in half when I did this. I managed to cut the other piece OK but the first one will may look bent if you are 1/87 scale and walking down the street. Actualy it came out OK. (Whew!)I gave it 4 out of 5 because it is a nice kit with some idiocyncracies. If you can put a ship in a bottle, you should have no trouble. If you are like the rest of us the results will be passable, and it will do the job.Oh what a trip! Could not place side doors properly- had to cut off nubs and improvise location. Same with "inner" roof. I would recommend (which I did not do) is to cut off wall tabs wherever you cannot get then in the roof holes. My structure has a gap under the roof in front because I did not cut them off. Lookes like "ventilation." I used my imagination. (ha ha)Oh, by the way there are a LOT of leftover parts- or I am missing a page of instructions! I deduce (hah!) that there are 4 pole lamps, a large sign (maybe) mounted on a base with 3 supports, and a lot of "mysterious" fencing perhaps to make the parking lot look more exotic. This is going to represent the Shangri-la Restaurant that was near State and Lake in Chicago IL in the 1950s. The REAL restaurant was rather huge and blocky but I only have 4 square feet for the whole Loop hence I LIKE the very small size- sort of. I better put it in my guidebook or it will not be seen. So far I only have the Restaurant and Rembrandt's house sort of done. (It's my layout and I'll fudge if I want to. The Loop looks Dutch if it's up to yooo)

To bad it is poorly manufactured and small
It seems to be a smaller model then HO scale. I would swear it's N Scale and the plastic is very flimsy. I had a few widows break because they are too thin. To bad it is poorly manufactured and small. I like the looks of the building.

Poor quality and flimsy. We gave up on it.

It's small, even for HO
Cool colored plastic. Better instructions would b nice. A unique, different addition to my town. They're all ordering Chinese tonight!
