What Wallabees used to be..
The comfort of the Clark's Orignal is a thing of the past. The crepe to soles do very little to compensate for the shoddy half insoles and odd sizing, which now feels exactly like walking on tight, thin cardboard. The Stinson is the new comfortable Wallabee, minus the crepe sole, which is a plus in my opinion. These shoes are very well made with a better sizing system. These are my second pair, in as many weeks and going down a half size will fit you perfectly. You can keep the newly made Originals which are neither authentic nor worth the high price tag anymore. These are my new go to shoes, at less than half the price.

Wallabee - The most comfortable shoe you can put your foot into!
Been wearing one form or another of Clarks® Wallabee™ for the last 40+ years... very seldom wear anything else. Maybe a workboot for construction jobs and a driving shoe for mountain driving in the car, but Wallabees have been my go-to daily wear shoe for a long time. They are not a light shoe - I take them off every time I get weighed at the doctor's because they add almost 4 lbs. to my unshoed weight... but once on your feet, you don't notice them. The suede can be a hassle because of its ease of getting soiled (NEVER wear new, unwashed jeans with them - DYE TRANSFER!), but after having worn them for so long, I know what situations to avoid (icy, wet, muddy, junkyards, stables, etc.) and to keep an eye on the weather in advance. Mind you - the oiled leather ones do not need as much maintenance - but when you DO stain your light-colored suede Wallabees, just keep the brass-bristle suede brush and the suede cleaner handy. This latest iteration has a suede trim strip across the top, same as the rest of the shoe. It used to be a strip of top-skin leather in this area... we'll have to see how it holds up compared to the rest of the shoe. Wallabees have been made in England, the U.S., for a long time in Spain, and now they are PRC (China). The quality has actually improved over the years. The soles don't detach at the front, they last longer, and the front-end stitching no longer fails before the rest of the shoe is beyond redemption for cleaning. The only thing I don't like about this latest model is the little red tag at the back side of the shoe. Other than that, I wouldn't trade my Wallabees for any other shoe (as long as I'm not walking on ice)!

Get noticed Ladies; see Wang Spring show 2016
I bought these as a gift for myself (female) even though I am aware they are men's. In a woman's shoe I wear a ten and have quite wide feet. When these shoes arrived I opened and tried them on immediately. The nude suede was clean and the heel was tight and cut well. In the city I am in its 0 degrees and I wore them out for a brief walk with my pup and too go to the mall. I received numerous compliments on them from strangers saying they looked awesome on me and where did I get them. The durability of the sole helped walking as spring is coming and it is both icy and the snow is melting. I am removing one star only for being picky. If I could I'd give 4.5. These are INCREDIBLY wide. And I have wide feet myself. I hate to tie them incredibly tightly they wouldn't go all over the place. In all other aspects they are perfect and I urge any women who want a different type of look (straight off the runway Alexander Wang 2016!) to try them. You'll be different then the typical ughs and hunter boots but still be stylish

'Very Pleased --- And they're great worn as boat shoes too!
I do leatherwork for a living and I'm downright fussy. I'm also keen on how much the proper footwear affects how you feel and can influence back and skeletal issues. I wore the low cut Wallabees many decades ago and had fond memories of them but when I read many of the reviews here on the Stinson I was hesitant to purchase. There were lots of comments like "they don't make them like they used to". Well, I ordered in spite of the negative reviews and am very pleased that I did. I've been wearing them daily for two weeks now and actually look forward to putting them on in the morning. My particular pair were manufactured in India. The leather is of good quality and the workmanship is excellent. I measure for a size 12 in a Brannock Device and that's what I ordered. Perfect fit. As a bonus they serve great as boat shoes with a nice secure non-slip grip and non-marring soles. I'm on my boat almost daily and finding good boat shoes isn't easy. Now I have dual purpose shoes that I love : )

Great throwback to a classic shoe.
I got this pair and the black version the other day. This color is a bit more expensive. I have a limp I walk with and it causes my shoes to wear out pretty quickly. So, I usually don't buy pricey shoes, as it seems pointless. So, when I saw these, normally I wouldn't get them, but they hold memories for me. I'm 40 and when I was a kid, my older brother and ppl wore these. They called them burnout shoes in the 70s, because all the stoner kids wore them, they said. I feel like I remember them when I was a kid in the 80s, but I know that hushpuppy stopped making them around that time. So, when I saw these, I said, those are it! Those are what I've casually been looking for since. Not a loafer, or other slip on, that, so I got it. I wasn't disappointed. Well made, maybe better than I remember. thick, sturdy material, thick sole. A simple shoe, but very comfortable. I think I'm going to try my best to preserve this shoe and keep an eye on my walk the best I can. Definitely recommend.

Comfort, Style, and Quality
I have looked for a long time for a pair of gray shoes to replace a pair of Skechers that I finally wore out. I was hesitant about the Clark’s because of the price. When they arrived, and I put them on, price was the last thing I thought about. The color was perfect. The fit was perfect. The comfort was beyond perfection. I wore chukka boots in college many years ago, and I loved the style. I love it now. These shoes have a classic look that is great with jeans and casual pants that I favor for work. I am on my feet all day teaching, and these shoes feel as good as they look. I plan to by more in the future. I don’t mind paying a little more for something that’s going to last and look good for a long time.
