Nice shovel for camping or keeping in the vehicle for winter driving. (In Michigan)
This is a good quality military style copy shovel. The ones we were given in the military were very basic. It folded just like this one but had a spade on one side or you could lock it half way to give you a pick for those roots in the jungle. This one is jazzed up quite a bit.It has a saw, sort of. It feels sharp but took me a full minute to saw through a tiny branch. The rope cutter would be useful if it were sharpened. I could not but a 1/2" rope until I sharpened mine. The breaker nose is actually a good idea if you need to shatter a windshield (point of impact pressure).I see they call the area of the rope cutter a bottle opener...ok...I guess. The side blade is shown to be used like an axe. I didn't think that worked very well but if you didn't actually have an axe it might suffice..It folds up and slips into the case easily so it would fit under my truck seat with no issues.I have seen these come in prices that range from 19 dollars to nearly 100 dollars. This one is at a good price point of 40 dollars at the time of this review.I do recommend it but if you are planning to use it for camping, sharpen both the rope cutter and the side blade.

Great camping shovel
I have started van camping lately and a shovel is one of those things that you don't necessarily think of when stocking up your van, but I'm so glad I had this one on my last trip. I found a great little campsite by a river in Montana. It was lovely except there was an unfortunate raccoon that had lost a fight and was now rotting near my perfect campsite. I'm not sure how I would have dealt with it if I hadn't had a shovel. This one is so compact that it takes up almost no room so it's easy to keep out of the way until you need it.

Useless
There is a thin pice of metal that holds the shovel blade in place and it snapped under standard usage and now I have a useless piece of junk. I’m sure I could reinforce it or weld it or something like that but out of the box, it doesn’t really hold up.

Sturdy, all metal shovel
This shovel has worked very well for digging purposes. It does have a serrated edge and a sharp edge but I find these all-in-one tend to do the other things decently, not great, so I stick to primarily using this for shoveling purposes. It is all metal so no worries of it breaking and it worked as expected with various terrain. I also use it for clearing out ash from fire rings and properly putting out camp fires at the end of the night. Folds down compact and I like the plastic sleeve included for the spade when storing in the bag. One tiny complaint, there is a lot of extra space when closing the storage bag from the Velcro being placed too low on the flap. Other than that I’m very happy with this product.

perfect for camping!
These JUNGLE SPIRIT portable folding shovel is amazing! At first when it arrived it was hard to figure out how to use this, but then i got the hang of it. It’s super sturdy and strong, and doesn’t break easily. The blade also features a can/bottle opener and also a woodsaw. It comes with a carrying bag with should straps. I love how it’s portable and it folds so you won’t have to carry a big shovel. I use this to when I go camping. Overall I really like this product and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is interested in this product!!

It’s a nice shovel, but... there’s a pinch-point.
Pros:- it’s sturdy and strong.- the blade also features a can/bottle opener and woodsaw.- it comes with a carrying bag with shoulder strap.Cons:- I took it out of its bag and started to un-fold the handle first ... and immediately got the skin of my palm pinched when the handle extended. OOOOUUUCCCHH ! It took a few moments to figure out that I had to use my knee to press up under the head of the shovel to relieve the pinched skin. Doggonnit 🥴- Rule ONE>> start by keeping fingers away from the joints!

Great item to have in your vehicle as emergency tool
JUNGLE SPIRIT Portable Folding Shovel, Military Style indeed. I do remember something like this in the mid 1980s while stationed in US Army. The tri-fold for easy transport with the rest of your ruck sack. This is very similar to the old military issue type. This would be a great item for hikers and campers alike.Included is a clear plastic blade cover, I plan to keep this on the shovel between uses, the shovel had a pre-coat of oil. There is also a Black storage bag with the velcro flap.So simple and easy to erect, by turning the big chuck nut near blade.

Must have tool in your vehicle and for camping
This is almost a carbon copy of the military version and it performs equally as well with a couple added features in the bottle opener and saw teeth. I keep one in my 4wd vehicle and one in the storage cage on my off-road trailer. Gotta have one for fires and as part of my recovery equipment. Folds up nicely and has a great little case for storage. Very sturdy when open and calmed down in both possible configurations - open all the way or at 90°. Great tool!
