A book I will go back to plenty of times.
The Dachshund Wears Prada is a delightful story of Isla Thompson and Theo Garrison, who connect thanks to Theo's inherited dog, Camilla. After an unintentional, catastrophic mistake at work, Isla is dropped like a hot potato and finds herself in need of a new job. Having inherited his grandmother's pampered pooch, Theo finds himself in need of assistance with it as of yesterday so when Theo offers Isla the job of being Camilla's dog sitter, she readily accepts it.I absolutely loved reading this book. Every single character was wonderfully crafted and complemented each other perfectly - I really liked the way Isla gets along with her sister with the perfect balance of carer and friend. Theo had me right from the first page; the perfect combination of strength and vulnerability and his chemistry with Isla was such fun to read. Once again Stefanie London has given us a story with lovable characters, funny moments, punch-in-the-gut moments and a book I will go back to plenty of times. Can't wait for the next one!

🐶 great story
I absolutely love this cover. It’s so different from the usual bare chested dudes holding dogs (😆) and I love Stefanie Londons writing style, it has me smiling from almost the first sentence.Theo is a recluse, and he likes it that way, grumpy, sullen and a total grump. But today he’s goodbye to his beloved grandmother, the only person he cared about after his parents died (so you could see why he’s the way he is) he doesn’t do public speaking very often, and he hates being in the limelight, but his grandmothers reputation and standing has him swallowing his fear and sadness, he’ll do her proud…..Isla has gone from influencer to pariah overnight! A simple mistake has her scrabbling around for a job, but nobody wants to hire her! Desperate she takes the only job offered to her. Dog walking a pampered pooch!Reading as these two stumble through hilarious moments had me laughing at loud. Then sniffling through tears as heartfelt moments are spoken about. So many emotions in this book.Spicy moments that catch you unawares, and if your reading it on the train (then be prepared to blush 😆) There are a also few sad moments that will have you reaching for the tissues.I loved Camilla, she just stole the book, a grumpy, snappy dog who hated everyone. But with her going to psychics, and slowly becoming an internet star you fall in love with her, and now I want a Dachshund. So can the team of grumpy/sunshine ever work? And what will Theo think of Isla turning his grandmother’s dog into a tool that will push Isla back into the heady heights of social influencer?End note to this review, the ending was just perfect.Grab a copy of this book, you won’t be disappointed.Feel good read that I highly recommend.🦋

I loved this book
I got really invested in the characters in this book. Beautifully written, especially the hero, Theo. Isla’s big mistake which led to her downfall was just perfect, and so possible in today’s media world. I loved her caring attitude to her sister and how she took responsibility for her, even though it wasn’t truly hers to shoulder. Camila, the dachshund, was the dog from hell, and yet you couldn’t help but love her too. The scene when Theo realises Camila misses her owner made me cry. To be honest Theo is an unlikely hero, given his abruptness and paranoid obsession about being left to his hermit type existence, but for me he came alive and seemed very real. A lovely book, extremely well written and perfectly read. I’m glad I got to spend time with the Dachshund wears Prada.

Great start to the series
What a great start to the series. I really enjoy Stefanies writing. She always brings a good depth to her characters with plenty of back story mixed with a bit of humour, steam and tension. I love a romance that features pets so this was a must read for me. Isla and Theo had a bit of a grumpy sunshine vibe. Isla takes on the job of dog sitter for Theo who had inherited a Dachshund from his Grandmother. Isla is working hard to support herself and help to make her sisters dreams of being a ballet dancer come true. I loved the closeness between the siblings there were moments that really tugged on my heart strings especially with the way Theo came into the fold. He was so sweet with Islas sister knowing how much she means to her. The side story with Isla and her Instagram account was a good addition Running along side the romance. I really liked Theo. He was gruff to start with but once we peeled back some layers he was a total sweetheart especially with how his relationship went with Camilla the Dachshund. A really enjoyable read and I'm excited to continue with the series.

Recommend.
The dachshund wears prada by Stephanie London.Forget diamonds—the internet is forever. Social media consultant Isla Thompson learned that lesson the hard way when she went viral for all the wrong reasons. A month later, Isla is still having nightmares about the moment she ruined a young starlet’s career and made herself the most unemployable influencer in Manhattan. But she doesn’t have the luxury of hiding until she’s no longer Instagram poison. Not when her fourteen-year-old sister, Dani, needs Isla to keep a roof over their heads. So, she takes the first job she can get: caring for Camilla, a glossy-maned, foul-tempered hellhound.Absolutely loved this book. The cover the story. Couldn't put it down. I loved Isla character. 5*.

A fun read!
The title intrigued me so when I started reading I couldn't put it down. It starts on a sad note but it ends on a happy one. The dachshund was the glue that brought them together and cemented their relationship. The sex was a little to explicit for my taste but the story was fun. I'm a dachshund lover so of course had to read this book but if you love dogs this is the book for you!

Joyous
A joyous and wonderful story. Theo is a complicated character. He is wealthy and reclusive. Isla is fighting hard to survive and support her younger sister. The story is funny with a great little dog character who almost steals the show. Stefanie Landon showcases her dry wit with characters who talk to themselves and animals with funny outcomes. Isla steals into Theo’s life and heart and heals all the cracks and broken pieces. It is a redemption based in love for both of them.

This is a Harlequin Romance that happens to have a dachshund in it, not a book about a dachshund
As my Amazon account says, I am a Dachshund Lover. So when I saw a book with Dachshund in the title, and "New York Times Bestselling Author", I instantly bought it though I regret it now. I rarely pay full price for books and wisht I didn't for this one, but too late now. Also if I had known it was a Harlequin Romance, I would not have bought it. I have not read Harlequin romances since I was in high school, nearly 50 years ago. As Harlequin's go, this was better than the ones I read as a kid, however, personally I swiped past all the steamy love scenes in this book. They are not my cup of tea for entertainment reading. I can't blame the author for my mistake in buying a book, but I will say as someone who has had 7 dachshunds in their life over the years and presently have 2, this author does not know the breed and didn't spend time with it to write the book. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this author had no idea that different dog breeds have different personalities. If you are a lover of a certain breed, this makes a difference when reading a story supposedly about them. Additionally, it is deceptive that the dachshund on the cover of the book is a Red Short Hair, big enough to be a standard, but the dog in the book is a Pale Cream Long Haired miniature Dachshund. I feel deceived that this was a book with a Dachshund as a main character. It very much was not. Some of the reviews I read first gave the idea the book had too much about the dog in it. Just my cup of tea I thought. But it was not to be.
