When my daughter was in high school one of her best friends was selling CUTCO Knives. We bough a set that cost us over $1000.00 to hel;p her pay for college. Maybe you have also heard that story. I originally purchased the PAUDIN 12 Inch Carving Knife to slice brisket. I kept watching Youtube videos of how to make brisket and all of the people making the videos were using a knife I had never seen. I hunted it down on Amazon and bought the PAUDIN 12 Inch Carving Knife and were so amazed at how well it sliced I bought their 8 inch Chef Knife. I had Cutco Chef Knifes but they never sliced through vegetable like this thing did even after sending them back to Cutco to have them professionally sharpened.We have the Cutoc Wooden Block that holds an assortment of knives and after about 30 years was looking kind of old so I checked to see if PAUDIN had a set with a wooden starage block, they did and it was under $200.00 which is 20% of what I paid for a set of Cutco Knives back in 1985, so I bought it and they came last week and we are impressed. I have used the pairing knife to cut into Mangos and tomatoes. For the price this set is an amazing deal. One more thing, they feel really good in my hand slicing and cutting with them.

These knives are great, extremely sharp, care required to prevent cut rings. Price value is very good, I like the quality and the handles.

I was weary of these knives after a couple of reviews said they developed rust easily. I almost didn’t buy them, but they were exactly what I wanted and the price was right so I decided to see for myself how they’d hold up over time. Boy, am I glad I did! I’m writing this review months after purchase so I can report on their durability. First off, those reviews warning about their sharpness? No lie, I accidentally sliced my pinky while hanging the knives on my magnetic strip. So just be exceedingly careful at first until you get a feel for them. I also make sure to remove any distractions and stay focused solely on what I’m doing whenever I do knifework with these for that reason. I wanted a high quality set of knives because I’m really into cooking at home. I cook all my meals everyday so I needed a set that would be up to the challenge, these are. They have a good weight to them (feel sturdy in your hand) and as previously stated, they’re super sharp and make quick work of any chopping project. Veggies? No prob. Meat? No prob. Hard cheese? No problem. I love these knives. They work great and I’m happy to report that I haven’t seen any rust on my knives. I hand wash and dry mine with a microfiber towel and then I hang them back up on their magnetic knife strip, so maybe that is the key to caring for them. They look brand new still, exactly like the day I got them months later. I am so happy with these. 10/10 would recommend them for enthusiastic home cooks like myself.

Got two of the same knives in the set, missing 'bread knife'. Did not use. Appeared decently, 'beginner' set. Light knives.

I love these set of knives. I purchased a set before and was very content with the quality. I have a custom knife block that I can't wait to put these in.

The knives have a beautiful design, and it has a nice balance in my hand when cutting.
