Like a Two-Part Librarians Episode
Going into this book, I didn't expect some feat of fantasy literature. I was hoping to find an extension of the show, with its lighthearted adventures and simple structure. I wasn't disappointed. This book reads like a two-part episode of the Librarians, which is exactly what I wanted from it.The plot isn't very complicated, but Cox captures the voice of the characters well and it's easy to get into. For fans of The Librarians franchise, I'd definitely recommend.

So good! Watch the movies, watch the show, read the books, read the comics!
I loved the back and forth with Flynn being back in 06 around the time of the second movie! I was happy to have Judson and Charlene in bits! I also liked all the little references to The Librarians previous episodes. The characters of the librarians came through perfectly. Their voices and personality could be heard clearly! It was like watching an episode! I have not given up hope for a renewal, even after all these years. I’ve been a fan since I was a kid watching the first movie with my dad. I’ll say it again- watch the movies, watch the show, read the books, read the comics!

Written for a 12 year old
The concept was good; the actual writing, no so.Too many adjectives - where was the editor?Neither the author nor editor were clear about language, jumping from "you" to "ye" in a single paragraph. " Where are ye, you bibliophile?"The storyline is good and a little different than many others in this specific genre.

This is a good story for any Librarians fan's
The story was enjoyable and rather interesting my one complaint this didn't feel like the librarians novel since there are only a few chapters it seemed to be more of the librarian since it took more time focusing on flints story about what happened with the lamp rather then what the group was doing giving about 10 chapters in total with the group but those were enjoyable, So I say if you wanted to read more about flints adventure from the other movies this is good but if your expecting more of the great and wonderful ezikiel jones well he's not in there too much abit busy stealing a large gold nugget being the jones we love. the pacing is well and i definitely enjoy Greg Cox writing style thats for sure, though I think they should change the cover adding flint also since this is his story just as much as the others

Fun
Thoroughly enjoyable. Enough character background given for someone not super familiar with the show to read, but not bogged down by it. Felt like reading a good two-parter.

Like a Librarian movie and episode rolled into one!
While the beginning started off a little bumpy, the book overall was highly entertaining and well worth the money spent. It isn't often that I find a book that I'll finish in one sitting, but this one of them. I enjoyed switching back and forth between Flynn's adventure in 2006 and the Librarians' in 2016. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a fun, casual read to relax with. Can't wait for the next book to come out next year.

It's a perfect blend of the made for TV movies and the actual TV series. A whole lot of fun. You don't NEED to have watched the show/movies but it would help as there tends to be various call outs and references to them.

The Lost Lamp
This is a light-hearted thrill of a book. True to the TV series and movies, it was extremely enjoyable. I would highly recommend.
