Convenience Concepts Newport Serving Bar, Espresso/Faux Marble

I had this in my cart for a few months because I was hesitant it would be bad quality for how expensive it was. I finally pulled the plug and I was glad I did! It’s so cute and clean looking. The assembly did take me awhile there are a lot of parts, yes they are labeled but very faint so it was quite a puzzle but in the end it was sturdy and pretty. I don’t think the price should be as high as it is. The marble layer isn’t marble it’s just a wood piece with marble covering. It looks totally fine but I fear overtime it will get messed up. I have a small home so this fits perfect in it. Bottles can only fit up top so I do wish the shelves were spaced out more but I’m overall happy I Made the purchase.

Seems like a great buy was on the hunt for awhile and kept coming back to this unit. Didnt want to spend $400 plus like some others so at $199 I settled on this. Shipping was quick couple days delivered on a sunday while snowing. Shopped double boxed not 1 cent or dinged but the count top had a small gash but could have been from me as it's not real granite but looks real. Took about 2.5 hours to assemble alone. Used a drill mostly until it died a bit then a hand screw driver. Directions were ok just took my time. I suggest you use a counter for most of assembly. also attach back boad one bottom unit is together had to tilt whole unit on floor to hammer in nails. Material looks good basic composition but I figure it should last for a decent period. Will add more and lots of space.

I am pleased with the outcome. The bar was well packed and arrived undamaged. It took me around 3 hours to put everything together. I took everything out of the box and lined them up through the house in numerical order to make finding pieces easy. The instructions were fairly easy to follow as long as you paid attention. I did use my cordless hand screw driver which sped up the process tremendously. As long as you have a screwdriver and a small hammer you are good to go. It comes with a small tube of glue but I did use a quality wood glue I already had on all the joints. I found out years ago it really helps the stability of buildable furniture.In the end the the bar is very sturdy and it fit my needs perfectly. It probably has about 10 bottles of bourbon on the top shelf and all my glassware on the middle shelf. I was able to put a 2 or 3 larger 1.5L bottles all the way on the back of the countertop since I was not using all the stemware hangers. My only complaint is that the bottom shelf does not have about 2" more room. You can put shorter bottles down there but not everything fits. I used it for most of my mixers and a few random bottles of liquor we had around.I would buy it again. It certainly beats trying to repurpose a bookshelf or something.

This bar is easy to assemble and more sturdy than expected. The look is perfect for the decor of the room it is in. However, I do have an issue with its design. The shelf heights should be at least a couple inches more. I read this issue in other reviews but thought it looked good enough to deal with this issue, and that is the case. It does look good enough. I do not use the glass holders as this is the shelf where I prefer to keep most of the bottles of bourbon at. It's just some are too tall so they go on the top shelf or to the spot where the wine rack is. The wine rack slides right out and the area can be used for storing bottles in the upright position. The shelf above the marble finish area is where I store my glencairne glasses as well as other types. The top shelf is primarily for the awesome decanter and display rack my wife bought me as well as other special bottles that won't fit elsewhere. All in all though I am pleased with the product for the money. But if shelf height is EXTREMELY important to you, beware.

I almost passed on this because of all the complaints of assembly. And while it did take me 3.5 hours to complete, I’ve certainly assembled worse. This was very organized, everything was numbered and logical. There were a couple typos in the manual where you had to stop and think for a second. But nothing major. I do wish I’d had a second person at times. Also before connecting the base to the top, go ahead and move everything to where it will live. Also, I need to level it a bit with little pegs on the bottom as it is a tiny bit wobbly. Another complaint is 3 of my wine glasses will not fit safely in each slot. Maybe mine are too big. Any movement causes the first one to slip out. All in all, I’m happy with what I paid for it!

The media could not be loaded.  I wanted a place to store all of our liquor without breaking the bank. I am really surprised by this bar because it is so inexpensive for what it comes with compared to other bars. This bar has all the space I need and I love that it even comes with drawers and wine slots. Also, the top of the bar where we store our liquor bottles can fit about 2 rows of bottles with a little bit of space left, which is great cause I was afraid it would be too tight of a space. This was definitely a great purchase for the price!

i’m definitely happy with this... it’s more of a value play than high end furniture, but with that said, it’s still pretty nice.the assembly wasn’t too hard but the engineering was silly... they supplied you with four different types of the same things when they could have been smarter and just designed them all the same size... silly things like that.two negatives... the wine glass slots are thin and will not hold all kinds of wine glasses. i have a really nice white glass set that is apparently too wide to fit in the slots.also... the storage area at the bottom is not tall enough to store larger sized bottles. all the bigger bottles can only go on top if you want to keep them out.it’s not exactly nit-picking as i wish i knew about these both before i purchased, but after spending all that time assembling this thing, i wasn’t going to return it... it just is what it is.i do like it though. it is a nice look and for the money it’s a nice buy, but if some of those other things are important, keep looking.
