Works best with top soil. Manure/compost was ok.Super easy to assemble, love it.

Very sturdy product. Easy to put together and fill. I used to spread organic compost on the yard, and the results were a clean even layer of product easily spread. You do have to fill it often, as it is not very wide.

I thought would be small. Wouldn’t want to push more than this. Worked great.

This is a quality product that works well. You don't have to spend a lot of money on the brand names because this works well and does the job. You can fit a 2 cubic foot back of material (I use the Home Depot Topper) and roll it over the needed area. I just used it to reseed my fescue lawn. Each 100 square-foot section (easy to measure out on my lawn, 10'x10' or 20'x5') takes about one minute to distribute 2 cubic feet evenly, at my walking speed it took about two passes). I load the material on a piece of 4x4 plywood that I move around the yard so the topper doesn't build up, a little of it will come out when you load up the cylinder. For me, it is easy to put together without the instructions; I just looked at the picture on the box.

The instructions are garbage thank God for the gentleman who posted a photo of his completely assembled product if I hadn't zoomed in to his photo I'd still be outside trying to figure out how to assemble the darn thing! Once assembled it works great but getting there was like running a marathon in the Sahara desert. I am using it to filter the sand in my yard. The holes in the metal are too big so I rigged it up with finer wire mesh. It sifts out all the weeds, rocks, junk, etc. I'm building my son a playhouse and sandbox. I live in the country and our yard has lots of stickers and weeds so I needed something efficient to sift with.

Recently decided to restart my yard as it had been neglected and filled with weeds. Killed everything off, tilled the soil a couple inches deep and leveled it off. After applying new seed, I used this to put a good layer of peat moss as a top dressing to help keep seeds moist and improve germination as well as keeping the pesky birds from eating the seed. Lawn is growing great. Plan to use with compost each year going forward since I have silty/clay soil and my lawn can use lots or organic material to improve the soil. The size of the openings are perfect for keeping all the garbage you get from bagged compost from getting on your soil as well as ensuring even coverage on your whole lawn so you don’t end up with high and low points. Sure beats paying the pro’s hundreds of dollars every year

For the price it's hard to beat. Found it very easy to assemble - only 5-10 minutes with proper tools. Used to spread peat moss over 3000 sq ft. Did exactly what I was hoping it would do and would recommend.
