Effective relief for pregnancy related Pelvic Girdle Pain or Symphysis Pelvic Disorder (SPD)
Background: I'm a STM, have had a relatively smooth pregnancy until around the 30 week mark started to experience SPD. I thought it would go away on it's own with rest and taking it easy. Nothing helped, it only got worse and basically got to a point where I couldn't even lift my foot to take a step without shooting pain in my pubic bone area. Every movement or shifting of the body was sharply painful. This went on for more than a week where I basically couldn't do anything, life sucked, I was desperate and my OB's office wouldn't return my calls. I did research, talked to people online and around me, decided to try the belt... just needed to decide on which one. This is the one I ended up using.I'm wary of reviews that are written without having tested the item; so I've been using the belt for a week now and here's my take -PROS:- it works!! the belt arrived within 24 hours. I put it on right away. There was NOT instant pain relief; it's not magic. BUT - bit by bit, hour by hour, the pain receded. I was able to walk without pain. I wore it all day, loosened it at dinner time but put it back on afterwards. From Day 2 onwards, I've been able to eat while wearing the belt.- 3 pieces. I've shown the belt to my OB and she says this is the best kind to get, based on feedback from her patients - specifically because this has the wide belt for back support, it's more effective than the single-belt variety.- While the manual recommends wearing the belt over at least one layer of clothing (even a thin one), I have found that wearing it against my skin under my dress/top doesn't irritate my skin at all, even if I have it on all day. Someone with more sensitive skin may have a different experience though. Just, it's more discreet than wearing it over your clothes, esp with non family members or little kids around that might want to play with it or ask awkward questions.NOTES:(no CONS, in all honesty. Just things to be aware of)- sometimes (not always) wearing the belt all day causes my back to become a bit stiff by evening. Not a big deal tbh, esp when comparing to the original pain I had been experiencing.- the first day of wearing it, I used this belt in conjunction with an ice pack between my legs (the pain was still that intense). Fortunately however by Day 2 and onwards, the belt alone has been sufficient. I usually can put off wearing it til after breakfast, which is a great improvement.- the main (under the belly) belt had started to seriously pill by Day 3. I don't mind it so much, but I feel like this probably won't be around to share with a friend or a use during any other pregnancy.- You CAN go to the washroom without removing or unlatching anything - I have found that the under-belly portion quite easily slides up/over your belly, when needed. The back is elastic, after all. Just adjust appropriately when you fix it.- just want to say as a reminder, remember to keep doing the pelvic exercises and kegels as regularly as you are able to without pain, it helps a lot.I hope my review helped anyone who has been experiencing PGP or SPD. Please don't hesitate to buy this item, it's not worth it to keep yourself in such pain and living in misery. Good luck with everything. <3

You can size up
One star off because the size chart isnt great. I think these should be offered in much larger sizes tbh - I would wear a M belt according to the size chart but I ordered XL and I wouldn’t want anything smaller. I feel like larger pregnant people would find this belt May start being too small towards the end of pregnancy. But I’m happy with it and hope my video and photos helps!

Klare Kaufempfehlung
Ich trage diesen Gurt seit der 22. SSW regelmäßig, vorallem bei "längeren" Strecken. Mittlerweile (35.

It kept me off crutches whilst pregnant.
I bought this belt to help with quite severe SPD in pregnancy, I'd had 2 pregnancies back to back due to a miscarriage so the relaxin in my hips had made them extremely painful. I'd bought a cheap neoprene one beforehand which went round my hips under my bump but it wasn't doing enough for me.I wore this for 4 months when walking or exercising and it made a dramatic difference immediately. I thought it was magic at first because the difference was so huge, unbelievably so. It wasn't quite as great at the end but still made a big difference. I wore it less towards the end as it had become creased in the back (i have a big curve) which made it slip down a bit even with the strap and my bump was so huge nothing was really offering support.I would definitely have suffered more without it and managed to continue at the gym because of it- make sure you wear it as tight as you can (without being painful) to give maximum support. The bottom section is padded so it's quite comfy, but the back elastic is not very comfortable whilst sitting, it doesn't restrict movement whilst exercising much at all.

Wish I gave it a chance sooner
I got this some time during my second trimester. I have been suffering with bad back pain and hoped it would help. I work from home frequently, so I'd just wear it over a t-shirt. However, I found it was a bit uncomfortable when I was just sitting and working. This led me to toss it in the wardrobe for the next few weeks. I picked it up again around my 32nd week of pregnancy. I decided to try wearing it while out for a walk and it was such a relief! It kind of lifts your belly, so it takes some of the pressure off your bladder. Also helps support your bump so there is less strain on your back. I wear it now every day, just when I'm out walking.
