Best Value Helmet Period
Great helmets for the money. No need to spend $400 on a helmet.

Decent helmet, but some design flaws
I bought this welding helmet as an upgrade to the cheap Lincoln helmet I initially bought with my new welder.I am an amateur welder, at best, and I found that the fitment of the adjustable head piece was very flimsy. No matter how much I would adjust different parts of the crown piece, or shape piece, the helmet almost always slides around my welding hat or falls off.If I tighten the class down super tight, it will stay on, but, it hurts my head after awhile.I also tried adjusting the face shield tension and found no in-between setting. It is either too tights and rips the helmet off, or loose enough to fall down on its own. I thought I could just swap out the adjustable head piece from the Lincoln helmet, but the grooves, hols and alignment are not the same. In my opinion, if the head straps were a bit more beefy, and less complicated, and more like the cheap Lincoln helmet I have, the helmet overall would be awesome. As far as the functionality of the actual auto dimming and such, I really do like it. The adjustments to the darkness are pretty easy, though, I need to remove the helmet if I want to change settings, which kind of sucks, and there are no outside adjustments which would have been nice.Overall, the auto darkening is goood, and so far, has been reliable.

Works well
I used this helmet professionally for about 3 years. Still going strong.

Good shield.
I'm an iron worker. I use this hood for grinding, chop saw cutting, cutting with a torch, and welding flat, vertical, and overhead. I do not use the original head piece, I use a hard hat adapter. That said, it seemed flimsy and cheap. I've had it for a little under two months now and it is holding up fine. Love the presets available. Buttons are big enough to make adjustments in MIG gloves or regular leather gloves. Love the truecolor screen. Very clear even in low light I can see what I'm doing with a chop saw.My one and only complaint is that indoors this thing can be erratic. I think the lack of sunlight affects it. Especially welding in a ceiling.

Great helmet for the money
This helmet is great for the money you pay for it. Its lightweight, and very durable. However after using this helmet for a few months now i see why its so inexpensive compared to other auto darkening hoods. The headgear on it has began to wear out. I find myself having to retighten it every few minutes which gets pretty annoying, but i can lige with it. The auto darkening works most of the time. I have random moments where the lens takes a second or 2 after starting the arc to darken. Sometimes it doesnt even darken at all. With all this being said, i still love this hood. Its by far the biggest bang for your buck and i would definately buy it again if i needed to.

HUGE improvement!
I'm a beginner. I started with an el-cheapo Harbor Freight helmet. This one is SO miuch better - easier to see through when you're NOT welding, easier to see when you ARE, wider field of view, much better fitting/more adjustable headband. Worth the $$.

Grey buy! Economic price !
This helmet works great! I love that you can save 3 presettings for different uses. The clarity is perfect , you can easily see your weld puddle. This helmet is also very durable. One thing that could be improved is the strap that goes on the back of your head is plastic and will sometimes dig into your head, it could be a lot softer possibly rubber. I put an adhesive padding on the back of mine and problem solved. I would compare this helmet to the Lincoln 4c tech helmets for a fraction of the price!
