GREAT PRESSING
The quality of this pressing is way better than most modern presentations. Two small ticks in the entire heavyweight disk. Technically this sounds superb. The excellent performances are delivered sounding just as I would expect. I think woodwinds are the hardest instruments to reproduce with proper character and this disk is great.

Great!!
What stands out is the awesome stereo image and the snappy attack of each instrument. You can hear the wood of the drumsticks and breath in the horns. As it should be!! This really sounds great!! Musically top notch too. Every track is killer. If your in to big band, jazz, Art Pepper, nostalgia, or just great sound, this is a must!!! I’m soooooo glad they rereleased this with the full AAA treatment.

Excellent Reissue of a Legendary Album
I don't think I need to say much about the music here. It's a legendary album and one of the best things Art Pepper ever recorded. Mastering by Bernie Grundman is on point and the album is very well pressed. Nicely made jacket also. Hopefully the rest of the Contemporary AS Series will maintain high standards.

Great record, great condition.
This was the real deal from the expected manufacturer and arrived in perfect condition, shipped in proper vinyl media packaging. Couldn’t be happier. The music’s great, too, but if you’re reading this i suspect you already know that!

Excellent Reissue
I took a star off just to be clear that while this is a really nice reissue, it is not better than my 1970's pre-OJC copy. That might be the same price or a little more than this reissue. On the one hand the cover is thicker and they made an attempt to copy the original style (tip-on?) but I agree with others that the cover photo looks dark, oversaturated and without the level of detail one would hope for. My copy was very quiet and had no glaring pressing problems. I just found the sound a little dull compared to either my 1970's copy or the Analogue Productions version from a while back (which only comes in second in my book). Still, if you can get this for around $20, I could see buying it in order to avoid uncertainty of used copies.

Pristine Vinyl
Well recorded and mastered and great sound stage. Acoustic Sounds is on their game. Pure analog vinyl wins again.

Poor
Had to return mine. Warped (tthat can happen) but lots of noise. The pressing was very poor. Lots of non-fill. Cant believe this was a Acoustic Sounds pressing to be honest.
