Danco Soap Dispenser with Curved Nozzle, 1 Pack, Brushed Nickel (10040)

Installed this Danco soap dispenser on February 19 2013. Today is April 8 2013. So far everything is working great and we are very happy. After reading the scary reviews about breakage and how cheap this unit is made, I was concerned. Great design. It is really nice to buy a 32 ounce bottle of my favorite dish soap,put the rubber tubing inside of it,set the bottle down on the bottom of our cabinet, and forget about it. I check it every once in a while just to see the level on the bottle. It really is a great idea. I was so tired of refilling the small bottle attached to my old dispenser. I was constantly overfilling the bottle by accident as it was hard to see. That has been eliminated by this handy gadget! Although we have a dishwasher, we do a pretty good share of hand washing too. This has made life easier. I will wait a few months and do an update to let everyone know if it is holding up!!August 30,2013 update. Still going strong. We are a two adult,no kids household. We always just press straight down on the top of the pump. Have had no problems. I think the people who had breakage may have had kids who were having a problem reaching the pump to press straight down. It has been great not having to refill this thing constantly. My husband just switches out my 32 ounce bottle when it is low. I am not disappointed with this purchase at all!!

thought this was identical to the one I have - it certainly looks it.... (the pump part broke on the old one) - but its not identical and needed to call a plumber to pull off the old one and insert the new one because there is a tiny lip in the old one and the size/shape of the new pump that inserts into the hole in the sink would not fit.... oh well !!!! still love having it so the soap bottle (Dawn - my fave) is not cluttering my sink

I have replace the pump in the Danco 10040 about once a year. This year I gave up and will try a different manufactures product (GMCOSY).

Very disappointed, pump stopped working at 3 months. No matter how I tried it simply will not pump dish washing liquid soap out of the bottle. Sure expected it to last longer....

Love the hose feature to hook up to large soap bottle. Somehow the pump is mixing a blue grease into the soap though. Been trying to pump it out for a few months now but its still generating the blue grease from somewhere inside. Otherwise works well and looks nice. Finish seems good. Install was quick and easy.

I purchased one of these at one of the local box stores but it broke from my kids hitting down hard to get the soap out. I bought this one to replace the one that broke and wow this one is more sturdy, and I payed less for it. Well worth the buy!

BEWARE !! I tried to get a warranty replacement and asked if I used an Ultra dishwashing soap which I do, then they said you can't use this soap dispenser with any ULTRA dish soap (eg.: Palmolive Ultra or Dawn Ultra) because it dissolves the seals. They would not honor their warranty!!! Almost all dishwashing liquids are ultra now. they basically implied it should only be used for hand soap but it has a picture of a kitchen sink on the package. Why didn't they put this on the package. Very deceptive!! I'm very disappointed in Danco.

Listed as a Brushed Nickel finish when in fact it's a polished finish so it doesn't really match the faucet and other items relating to the sink area. I had no choice but to install it as it came to keep my project going towards completion.

This was the only soap disponser which had a 4 ft hose enclosed.Hose can be cut to required length) We needed this as the soap dispenser was located behind the sink and we would be unable to use the small soap container see how full or empty it was. I now use a gallon milk jug, fill it with soap and insert the hose. No worry of running out of soap and able to see when fill up is required. For the price an excellent unit.

does not keep primed. Have to pump an extreme amount of times if you have left the soap dispenser for less then a hour before you will get soap dispensed
