I bought two containers mainly for storing some of my hat collection in my home or for car travel. The fabric is nice thick felt and the zippers are heavy duty, they will work nicely for my purpose. I would not check these at the airport though, they are squishy soft and the fabric/zippers are not tough enough for that. I bought the large size and not sure if they would be allowed as a carry on. One complaint is that one of the containers arrived with a hole where the zipper was mis-sewn, as you can see in the 2nd picture. Fortunately I am skilled enough to fix that myself and will not trouble with a return. However, I knocked down a star for poor craftsmanship/poor quality control. I should not have to fix something brand new.

Bought this to store a couple of new hats I didn’t want to leave out. Arrived yesterday. I put in three large floppy hats that were actually so large that I am not going to be able to hang the bag due to the bottom not being stiff or these hats will be damaged. Certainly not a problem with the bag, I didn’t think to measure those hats as I didn’t order the bag for them. Bag will sit on a shelf, so no problem at all. Just be aware if you have some of these oversized hats too. Both of the new hats fit on top of the floppy hats and there is room for at least a couple more. Very happy with the purchase.

It will not protect your hat from crushing.

The hat box is great! It is sturdy and the handles are well placed. It holds all my hats including my wide rimmed hats and my cowboy hat.

The soft sides made this not what we were looking for as we needed something more stable, so the item was returned, but overall the product and fast response to the return kept this a 5 star review

Nice, roomy storage for my summer and fall hats- especially my largest hat with a diameter of 18”. The supports in the side seem good but don’t really keep it rigid, as the top still goes concave if it’s not full to the top. But I like the height, which is not as Olympic as other sellers (I don’t need a hat box that stretches to the ceiling!) and it fits about 5-6 of my hats comfortably to keep them dust free, which was the purpose.

I bought this hat box to store my ever growing collection of large brim hats. I specifically purchased this one because it said it had bars to hold its shape and it wouldn’t collapse on my hats. Once I figured out how to set it up (there weren’t any directions so it took me a minute to figure it out the metal bars) it worked great! I stuffed a giant pillow in it for about 24 hours before I put my hats in to open it up so it would hold its shape. I can’t speak to traveling with it since that’s not what I bought it for. Happy with my purchase!
