Very good!!!!
It only took me two days to complete this book. It was a good read, but the grammatical errors was not to be believed. I think Shameek Speight needs better editing, because he’s a good writer.

Great read!!
I liked the fact that even though Evil was indeed evil he couldn't help but be that way. I hate that the baby had to get shot but I wonder if he'd going to wake up??

Eh
You can tell a man wrote this book. I enjoyed the first one, so I ordered the 2nd. But the more I read the more it just seems like soft porn lol. But hey what do I know!

The flames are still burning!!
I have to say that this book was just as hot as part I. Shameek Speight continues to deliver mind blowing writing and a story that is unbelievable. Black Ice is indeed the devil and he may be part Irish as well, because he certainly is lucky. I mean, this makes twice that he has escaped death and to say I am angry is an understatement. This man is pure evil and does not have a redeeming quality about him. I loathe his character and hope he meets an end that is most deserving of his evil ways.Michael aka Evil turned out better than I expected. I honestly thought he was going to become like his father, and in few ways he did, but for the most part, he did not. Michael is his own man, and tries to make the world a better place for the poor an addicts. I LOVE reading about this type of story because it touches my heart. Michael is doing his best and exceeding at making something out of himself, regardless to the horrors he experienced and witnessed as a child. Also, I like how he knows people in high places. That can come in handy and it displays that Michael is viewed as an upstanding citizen. The sins of the father did not fall to the son.I like me some Envy! Her fashion sense is off the chain and she has a warm personality. Envy is no doubt a ride or die chick and standing by Michael makes me love her even more. She knew from the jump that the relationship would be no cake walk because of the blood running through his veins. I truly believe that she compliments Michael and makes him strive to be a better man than his father could have ever thought about being.Mike is a character I feel sorry for. Unlike Michael, he did not have his mother, so he started out the gate trying to defend/provide for himself. This child is emotionally torn and has lacked stability so long, that attachment to anyone family like or nice to him is immediate. I was very happy how his living situation turned out but then....Black Ice strikes again. The mind games he played with Mike really made me mad and I was hoping that Mike would not fall victim to them.Black Ice is crazy as all get out. Who in the world would have rabid, illegal, wild animals as pets? He would. Just when I thought his evil arse could not get any worse; Shameek started writing and proved me wrong. I was outdone with his pets and his idea to keep the crack flow steady.I cried, I prayed, I cursed, I hoped and wished...This series is evoking every emotion from me. It is not easy to read but I cannot call it quits. I will continue to read bits and pieces at a time because I have to know the outcome of this story. Horror story
I’m absolutely disgusted and horrified by the contents of the books, but can not stop reading. Praying for a happy ending. I can barely make it through the parts of torture and rape and it’s not a movie so I’m not able to close my eyes. 🫣. It’s a great series. I’m starting book 3! Congrats on a great book. I hope you sell millions.

An absolute atrocity this glorified pamphlet is called a "book"...
I sat here for about ten minutes trying to figure out where to start. I couldn’t figure out a “correct” way so I just decided to write.I am sick and tired of lazy authors and lazy publishers who put out crap like this and have the nerve to think of themselves as purveyors of the written word. ‘Child of a Crackhead 2’ had to be the worst edited book that I’ve probably read since 3rd grade. When my classmates and I had to write a story. No I am not kidding.Notice I said ‘part 2’. Which means that I read and enjoyed part 1. It was brutal, raw, mean, dirty, sexual, violent, and gross. Everything that I enjoy in a book of that type was in that one. But I don’t remember having such a visceral reaction for that one as I do for this one. The formatting is this “book” was just wrong, the spelling was atrocious, and the chapters bled together like that one Nazi in ‘Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Ark’.Seriously guys? You’re proud of this book?I honestly tried to finish reading this book because I was enjoying the story, but this book was edited so badly that it literally took away from the reading experience. Now THAT’S bad. When you have the ability turn off an avid book reader because you were too damn lazy to take even the most remedial of editing classes, that’s saying something. There is NO excuse for this.None.Once I started to see a pattern, I looked up the publisher, True Glory Publications and sent them an eMail - [email protected] - to ask if this was a bad upload or maybe another explanation. I’ve been around the book world enough to know that in the digital age mistakes happen. As of now I have not heard back from them.Side note:I couldn’t find a website for them only various FaceBook pages, including the author, Shameek A Speight’s FaceBook page.Still with the hopes that this was a bad upload I sent a note to Amazon asking them if they had any idea. They did not but told me they would contact the publisher to see if they could get an answer. In the meantime they would refund my money (.99) if I wanted. After I received the Amazon eMail I did some looking around online, and what I found only pissed me off more.I am not by far the first person who has seen and commented on this “book’s” editing problem. Despite fellow book lovers going on Amazon and leaving reviews about the less than elementary school editing and Stevie Wonder style proofreading, the publisher/author have completely ignored them (us) and made a deliberate decision to keep publishing this ordure.Shameek Speight and ‘True Glory Publications’ should be ashamed of themselves. With all the trouble the book industry is in they go and add to the problem with publishing this crap. The fact that this book cost .99 isn’t (necessarily) the problem, but let me quickly add that you obviously get what you pay for. The problem is people who don’t know the difference between ‘their’ and ‘there’ and have the nerve to call themselves “Nationally Best selling” authors all while putting out subpar work that is damaging to themselves and to the our industry. There is just no excuse for this type of inferior work and lack of craftsmanship and pride. If you have the time to write a “book” then you have the time to proofread, edit, reread, edit some more, proofread again, and edit again.Only then should you start on your second draft. If a book like this is the end product of your hard work then you need to choose another career path. Might I suggest something far away from anything to do with words, paragraphs, sentences, and definitions. Maybe a reality show.My book world has individuals who sweat over the grammar. Individuals who take writing classes at night after a ten-hour shift. Individuals who write at Starbucks because they can’t afford Internet at home. Individuals who write and rewrite chapters to make sure the reader understands, feels, and enjoys the journey. Individuals whose outlines are as complicated as the original blueprints for the Roman Coliseum. Individuals who would rather spend twelve months getting it right than to put out work that would distress anybody with a third grade education. It’s quite clear that Shameek and ‘True Glory Publications’ know none of them.

a must read!!!
i really enjoyed child of a crackhead 1 and 2! talk bout fast action but this is not for the fainthearted with all the drug use, obscene amounts of sex and very detailed at that as well haha and loads of very dramatic violence! loved reading how the author takes the characters and the twists it has. brilliant read.cant wait to read child of a crackhead 3.im so glad that i picked this to read on my kindle while browsing thru my books as had it on here for a while,i read book 1 in one sitting i couldnt put it down!! good work Shameek Speight. saw a few typos but nothing to get stressed about.

Sack the proof reader
I downloaded the first book as it was free and looked like it was worth a read. For the most part it wasn't bad at all,Which led me to buy book 2. However the second book is extremely poorly written, loaded with terrible grammar and spelling mistakes and the story is loose, repetitive and disjointed. Considering book 3 is priced at almost £7 I shall not be bothering to discover how the story ends as I refuse to pay good money for a book my child could have written better.

Disappointed, but not with the read.
This is not a book I would have normally chosen, but I do like to look at the free books available and then buy follow on books by the author, if the read grips me. I did buy book two, and was just as gripped with the read as book one, but was sadden by the price of books 3 and 4 which I thought a lot of money for a kindle book. So will not know the end result. Shame, but my choice.

Somewhat disappointing
I really had faith in the second edition to the story, but like most second parts I was let down. The punctuation and spelling was very bad and let me down. The story was far too gruesome and really was a bit far fetched at times...hyenas?? Maybe not! I do however love the build of of the main characters. The love he and envy shared....
