I bought these after a friend gave me fresh eggs that were spotless and unwashed. I asked her how she kept them so clean and she told me about these. I used the nesting box pads made of straw, which got ripped up too easily. These are perfect and all I need now! They stay clean and look like they will last a long time.

They serve their purpose. My hose had ZERO water pressure so it’s annoying for me but I don’t think it would be an issue for anyone with normal pressure lol

Prevents my little " velociraptors" from cracking and eggs. Easily wash able as well.

I thought these would be perfect since I could cut them to fit perfectly the nesting boxes. However, my hens will choose a box without one of these pads to lay their eggs I tried…….

They are great for their purpose, but my hens quit laying in the boxes I have lined with them and moved to different boxes. Hoping the new girls enjoy them since they are so much easier to clean than bedding or straw.

These replaced a constant process of buying and replacing pine shavings - along with the time spent cleaning the shavings out regularly. Now, with these mats, it's a quick shake out of and turds - or if you really want to clean it out, just hose the hutch with the mat in place. It's perforated, so the water just flows through and it air drys!Lastly, it's nice and soft - at least soft enough to cushion some of the "high altitude" drops from some of our hens.

My hens like these, they are easy to clean if someone has an accident in the nest box or when a new layer might lay a soft shelled egg. No mess from hens kicking out shavings or straw. Holding up very well. I have larger nest boxes and need 1 1/4 pads, very easy to cut and stays durable.

I honestly thought these were going to save us money in the long run but however, it is not. We bought these because we have a large amount of chickens and clean the coops every week to 2 weeks. Laying boxes of course get dirtier due to some of my "toadier" girls can not/will not get up on the roost so they just sit on the edge vs. in the boxes.When I unboxed the order, it was not near as soft or supple as I anticipated. Rougher than course indoor/outdoor carpet. I guess I don't blame them for not using it. I wouldn't want to sit and lay an egg out on that either.When you go to clean them you have to use a super tough scrub brush and a high jet stream on the garden hose to get them clean.Will be a one time purchase. Will not look at another item like this, will stick to medium shavings. Easier to clean up.
