Fit 2000 Jeep TJ perfectly
Direct fuel pump replacement for our 2000 Jeep TJ. Previously we had issues with our Jeep not starting without several ignition cranks and running rough once it started. Installing this fuel pump fixed all those problems. Starts great now. Reached out to seller for a wiring color question as someone cut the harness off our Jeep with a previous fuel pump replacement and the seller emailed us back right away with the proper clear and consume wiring to help our installation. Very helpful seller. Also I have put on a couple 1000kms on first before writing review.

98 TJ 2.5 “15” Gallon tank to 19 gallon tank with 19 gallon tank fuel pump. Works great!
Purchased a used model for 41$ can’t beat that! I have a 1998 Jeep TJ 2.5 with the 15 gallon gas tank by part number located on the drivers side of the tank visible without any disassembly (52018687AB) I purchased this pump with the intention of doing the vent tube mod to make the “15” gallon tank capable of holding the full 19 gallon capacity. Upon delivery, through a chain of family members, as I live in California and can’t have a fuel pump shipped to my house, I went to install and it will appear to be too tall, just depress the inner spring which keeps the pump in position on the bottom of the tank and it will fit perfectly. Ran the Jeep and it runs better than ever! Believe the original fuel pump was the one installed and the entire filter assembly and inner spring were deteriorated beyond repair. Will update after a while of real use and fuel rail pressure testing.

FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR FAILED - DECREASING PRESSURE WHILE DRIVING
Installed in a 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ as the OEM pump is no longer available. Initially, this pump worked great and registered 52 psi under various loads (spec is 49.2 +/- 5 psi). About a month in, I started experiencing hiccups/jerking after about 15-20 minutes of driving. I thought it was a misfire and methodically began replacing possible parts (spark plugs, cables, distributor, ignition coil, throttle position sensor, MAP sensors, etc.) since the fuel pressure at the rail was still 52 psi. After much contemplation, I decided to jury rig a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail (connected to the Schrader valve port) & taped the gauge to my exterior windshield while I drove around on the street & highway under various loads. I determined that the fuel pressure dropped from 52 psi to 40 psi (refer to the pic) after driving around for about 20 minutes which is right about when the vehicle began to hiccup/jerk around. The check valve (in the fuel pump) tested OK as did the fuel injectors (for being stuck open) so those were ruled out as the sources of decreasing fuel pressure. No issues with vacuum hoses, leaks, or the supply line (kinks). It appeared that the fuel pressure regulator could not maintain the spec fuel pressure at the rail after about 20 minutes. While at 52 psi, the Jeep drove great, but that didn't last. The OEM pump I replaced worked perfectly except that the fuel-sending unit was bad resulting in an inaccurate gauge reading. Now I get the privilege of dropping the tank once again...augh! :(

Fits 2001 TJ 2.5L
Amazon states it doesn’t fit a 2001 TJ 2.5L but I cross referenced part number with rockauto. It was cheaper on Amazon so I took a chance and ordered it.Fit my 2001 TJ 2.5L perfect and it solved my hesitation issues.5 stars so far.

So far so good in my 99 Wrangler
After doing my research in multiple Jeep forums, everyone had said to replace your fuel pump with a BOSCH assembly only. I looked high and low for a BOSCH fuel pump but wasn't able to find one so I settled with this Delphi fuel pump assembly for my 1999 Jeep Wrangler. The pump has been installed for about 2 weeks now and I haven't had any issues at all. I do plan on keeping my eye out for a BOSCH assembly since I've heard of many people installing this Delphi assembly and then in 3 months having to replace it but so far I don't have any issues/complaints. Install was fairly easy and the assembly as a whole felt very well put together but I will update in the next few months whether I have to replace this fuel pump or not.
