The Mylar bags seem well made, but they came with no instructions. I knew that I needed oxygen absorbers so I bought some and tossed one in the bag with my flour. Then I saw a video on how to use them, and I was all wrong. Apparently you are supposed to toss in a few of those oxygen absorbers and then check the bag the next day. It is supposed to look like it’s been shrink-wrapped, but mine didn’t look that way. Please look up how to use these before purchasing them. I was too naive.

Like the large size. Easy to fill and fit nicely in a five gallon bucket.

it's my first time using mylar bags, I watched several videos on you tube, and I liked the size, they are thick ,and ok for now.I used a small square bucket and a piece of a 2x4 piece of wood to put the top part on top and added an oxygen absorber and sealed the top with an iron ( clothing iron no steam) and it sealed perfectly and since handling the bags causes wrinkles that turn into scratches and air goes into it I used thick packing tape to cover the scratches and next day the oxygen absorber worked fine.the one bag that I did not taped the scratches on, it still has air in it, so I will have to redo and use another oxygen absorber.I did put the mylar bags full of 25 lbs wheat berries into a 5 gallon plastic bucket for added protection.I will order more, because I see a lot of complaints with the other brands anywayThese came in a plastic bag and shipped in a box, if they are sent to you without a box I'd suggest to return them, because they wrinkle easily and if they do then the wrinkles turn into scratches and air goes into them when you seal them.

The ziplock closure was way too close to the edge for a proper seal. I didn't want to risk contaminating my food with melted plastic or fumes from the ziplock. I cut it off altogether instead. The bag was a good thickness and sealed easily with a straightening iron. The seal looks strong.The oxygen absorbers were individually packaged but had no indicator on them. Two were almost rock hard when opened. I didn't use those. The rest seemed okay but they weren't soft like other brands with an indicator. The bags shrank down a little when I used those. I guess time will tell if they were any good.I would not buy this again. I will stick with unzippered bags and oxygen absorbers with an indicator in the future.

I use these for food storage, and they fit my containers perfectly.
