Ok, so I just got the product at the time of typing this. After, putting this on my facial hair I must say if nothing else the scent is fresh fresh fresh! I hope it grows my facial hair just so I can keep buying this for the scent. Also I have rough facial hair now it feel softer.

I’ve tried several beard growth/oils in the past. Beerds is by far the most effective even after a few short weeks. Highly recommend the product for growth and moisturizing.

I was excited for my husband to try this beard oil after having previously been using an unscented product. Other reviewers mentioned how nice it smells, but I discovered that perhaps the "vanilla birch" scent is not for everyone. I'd describe the scent as very vanilla-y with perhaps a hint of woodsiness, but also a hint of play-doh (I don't know how else to describe it). I was hoping it would have musky, spicy, or fresh aspects; but no--IMHO it smells more like a cupcake. I will say that a couple of hours after being applied, the scent does fade into something pleasant, though still sweet. If you like sweet scents in your personal care products this will be up your alley, but otherwise I might opt for an alternative.Performance-wise, it did it's job, making my husband's beard feel softer and moisturized.A note about the company name, BEERDS. I think this comes from the fact that the beard oil contains hops extract (hops is a primary component of all beer, for those not familiar). This is intriguing and I know from my homebrewing days that hops does smell wonderful, but I did not detect any hops in the scent of this beard oil. Nevertheless, it seems to be made from a variety of interesting oils and the packaging suggests it is a quality product.

This beard oil has a very mild vanilla scent but it does not seem to retain the scent once on your beard. The oil has a good consistency and is easy to apply and work into my beard. The oil does a nice job of both hydrating my beard and moisturizing my skin. The oil leaves my beard softer and helps maintain some of the frizz that I can get.Pros: Good consistency Good job hydrating beardCons: Minimal to no scent

Nice scent. Pretty mild, classic shea butter and oils scent. Pretty thick oil, doesn't spread very wide in hand but feels good in beard. Moderate moisture and sheen...Not too much, not too little. Good size glass jar with easy pump. Good value.

I've been using this oil for a couple weeks now, and I'm overall very happy with it. Most beard oils are made from very similar oils, just in slightly different ratios. This brand sets tries to distinguish itself through the use of hops (get it — BEERDS brand??) but honestly I don't think that ingredient makes a tremendous difference on its own.That said, this oil does go on well and absorb well, so it doesn't leave my face feeling oily all day. It also smells good, so I feel good when I put it on.Maybe the most important thing about this oil is that it's actually TWO fluid ounces, whereas most beard oils I've bought in the past are sold as ONE fluid ounce. That makes this oil very competitively priced, and frankly, pushed it over the edge to a full 5 star rating. It might not be my most favorite beard oil, but it is one I would consider buying again just due to the value.

After years of using various beard oils, I've come to the conclusion that they pretty much all have the same ingredients and work just as well as each other. What it comes down to is ease of dispense and scent. If it is too strong, I can't use it. If it is to subtle, I move to something else that is a little stronger. Since I don't typically use cologne (except on special occasions) beard oil has become my "scent" for the day. This oil is a little more on the subtle end of my spectrum but not so subtle that I won't wear it. The oil itself works fine. It is a little "stickier" than I'm used to but it spreads well and doesn't leave me feeling greasy afterwards.

Beerds has fast made me a fan. These products smell great, work well, and are so thoughtfully packaged - fun, nice boxes, black tissue paper, stickers, cards signed by the founders, sealed, undamaged - might even include a bonus comb! Made in the USA. Priced well at $20 plus an extra 10% off today (the bundles are even better values). I'm looking forward to more from this brand.
