Well that being said I received mine today and I go and hit the open Button and it would not open I had to open it with my nail also and then I closed it and opened it 6 more times and it seems to be working good now (so far) also it does not seem to ...
I bought this multi-region DVD player so I could be able to watch my import DVDs, before purchasing this item I read through the reviews and I have noticed a lot of people saying the DVD drawer get stuck and you have to open it up yourself.. Well that being said I received mine today and I go and hit the open Button and it would not open I had to open it with my nail also and then I closed it and opened it 6 more times and it seems to be working good now (so far) also it does not seem to be a "new DVD player" as the cord had a little sticky tape on it! Also had some dirt on the screen part of the DVD player not pleased with that..but for the price you can't go wrong and I'm happy now that I can actually watch "import dvds" delivery was late only one day( due to weather)

Works for Region 2 DVD's from Europe
got tired of the warning "this DVD is only for Region & will not play in North America". Tired this unit to overcome that and we can now order any European version of our favourite shows and watch them without issues. The unit arrived and the platen was stuck in the machine, but a little TLC brought it back to like. It is not the sturdiest looking machine, but does the job for us and helps to save money on some of the British shows on DVD

The remote control is tiny which some won't like. But for the price its fine for us overall

This is okay. The remote is small, and doesn't always work without pressing the button repeatedly. Also the player will sometimes freeze when playing a DVD. Can be frustrating at times. When it works, it works nicely, but can be inconsistent at times.
