Great product with excellent finish and adhesive
Great product with excellent finish and adhesive. STRONG adhesive. Which is good, but be prepared for it when installing.I used this to repair my 2005 Honda Accord leather driver's seat, which was down to the foam cushion on the left bolster. Since more than enough of the surface leather material was generously supplied by Masta, I had more than enough to do a two layered application, which I recommend for people who are using this product for a seat repair.Start by cutting paper templates to test fit the area (I used the actual package cardstock for my templates). Doing this will ensure you get the right contour and fit. I made a smaller patch first, to insert underneath the layer of the original leather, with the sticky side facing out. This allowed for a double-bond adhesive grip and improved the thickness in the area that had been worn down. Slide it into place, and THEN peal the adhesive backing off while holding it in position. This will prevent slippage while installing. I then applied the larger patch to the surface with enough coverage to adhere to the existing leather and grip the secondary smaller patch underneath. In this case, peal the adhesive backer off first, apply the patch at the stitch line of the outside of the bolster and gradually press into place. The material patch is flat, but pliant, so if your seat has compound curves, you will end up with slack or a crease in your last area rubbed down. You can scissor-cut an inch or so, removing a thin V shape in the area and then the seam will line up without puckering the material. Be sure to tuck the seam edge into the bolster crevice and do your best to follow the original stitch line contours - this will hide the patch more smoothly with the seams hidden in the seat design.I had to return my first order due to improper color match, so double check your material color carefully (return shipping cost me $8.00). I would use this product again for sure. Very effective, inexpensive, and easy to use.

Fixed my couch on a budget
I have two little dogs who like to sit on the top of the couch while I'm at work and look out the window. They also like to dig. My couch is made of that cheap coated fake leather so the digging has torn patches of said fake leather off the couch over time. New couch isn't in the budget right now, so cue me looking for a cheap and reasonably effective option. For $20 a sheet, this fit the bill, and while it doesn't look perfect up close, from a distance the couch looks a whole lot better. Plus it couldn't have been easier to use...cut, peel, stick!

Product failed in one week
DO NOT waste your money, One week is all I got out of this product. I am almost certain 9/10 people who review this product do so right after they apply it. You can see clearly in the photo that the faux leather layer is peeling apart from its under layer. The product has an under layer which basically looks like some meshed string backing and the glue. To me it looks like the glue held but the 2 layers of masta plasta separated, either way its a big time fail, and on top of that you can see the product is fraying badly around the edges. The only reason I am giving two stars is because masta plasta was quick to return my email and suggested that amazon would give me a refund which they did. This product was one of those too good to be true snake oil type products. I was only hoping this product would last 1 year and then I could justify re applying it but.. 1 weeks not gonna cut it. I would like to leave a completely honest review and say that the product I applied to the side of my seat is still holding ( 2 or 3 weeks later), but the piece on my seat that I sit directly on failed in a matter of days. Makes me think this product is made for light traffic areas that wont be sat on. My moneys refunded and I'm somewhat happy but I just wanted to let you guys know my experience so you don't waste your time and 5 bucks on a can of epoxy remover. I have about half a sheet of masta plasta left and its hitting the trash can next time I run to it.

Patch failed after 2 months
I bought this large patch for a crack in my leather car seat. I purchased about 5 other smaller patches from this company before that have lasted two years now, but this patch only lasted just over 2 months before the leather portion began to separate from the adhesive backing. There were no tears or rips, just a failure of the adhesive that holds the leather portion on to the adhesive portion of the patch.I contacted the Amazon seller about this and they referred me to the manufacturer since it was outside of the return window for Amason. I sent the manufacturer pictures of the product failure and all they could offer is that 'the product was not designed to last forever'. That was it. Very poor customer service and lack of a desire to stand behind their product.Attached is the photo sent to the manufacturer showing how the leather portion separated from the adhesive attached to my car seat.Even though the smaller patches are very durable, I would NOT advise buying the larger 8X11 patch, unless you are willing to spend $20 to replace the patch every couple of months.

Great product
Wishing I took before and after photos. This stuff is awesome. So easy to apply. It seems like it will not be soft enough, but once you remove the backing it is quite pliable. It happens to match the color of my couch well except my couch has more of a grain to it. My dog chewed an ugly hole in the couch and even the wood frame was exposed. This was the perfect solution. You can tell it was patched but I think it blends a lot better than stuffing and wood! Too bad he damaged the seam, that's what is most obvious about the patch.

Wrong product and a ripped-off...
I picked up this product today and was surprised that it didn't look like as advertised shown above. It was a wrong product Sayopin. I checked and they usually come in 3 8x11 inches sheet for $13+. Plus, it looks more line a dark-red colour. Will call amazon and have this sent back. Very disappointed with this purchase.
