Essential for women in sport
This book is a Bible for women in sport and recommend in for all young women's sports teams to have as a tool to help them perform at their very best. We don't realise just how important food is when playing sport. We definitely do not eat as much as we need to match the output required. Laura helps us plan our meals effectively so we don't have to think to much about it and know that we will have the fuel to perform at our highest level.

Wish I had this book years ago!
High recommend this book to all girls/women playing team sports. It covers a huge range of topics around nutrition, fueling, recovery, meal planning etc. Also includes info on the menstrual cycles, sleep and there's lots of recipes. I love the way the recipes are grouped into training and rest days, makes it so easy to choose the appropriate ones!

Excellent!! Every young female should read!
Wish this book was around 20 years ago!! So much info and the recipes are delicious! I have played sports my whole life but never realised the impact nutrition can have. Follow Laura on Instagram too and she is so knowledgeable not like a lot of the “experts” you come across online. Your daughter/niece/sisters would really benefit from this book!

Such a practical and helpful book
I love what a resource for sports players this book is. The 80 recipes are all so efficient and manageable. This book is filled with practical, sound advice. A great buy!

Brilliant Resource
This book is a fantastic resource. I would especially recommend it for all female sports players, and women interested in better understanding their nutrition. The layout and recipes are easy to follow and make as they are clearly broken down into training and recovery day sections. It’s brilliant to see Laura leading the way in making high quality information available to female sports players, which is specific to them, their body and their needs. Can’t wait for the next one!

Immensely grateful for this book!
There are almost no books on sports nutrition tailored for women. I didn't think it mattered. I assumed that good nutrition is good nutrition, and of course I was wrong. Women have different nutrition requirements than men. Didn't understand at the time why my menstruation was out-of-whack only when I started exercising heavily. Turns out, if you don't eat enough carbs, the lack of carbs will mess with your hormones and deregulate your cycle. Once I made sure to eat enough carbs per intensity x kg/body weight/day I've had no issues since.Overall, it provides simple evidence-based guidance on nutrition for the unique nutrition requirements for females. Such as, how much carbs or protein to eat for your activity level? How to time your meals and snacks appropriately so you are fuelled for optimal performance? Which foods to eat post-activity to repair? How nutrition can impact your performance & your menstruation? + slew of recipes.This book saved me time and money in not having to go through a bunch of medical tests to figure out what was wrong.
