Ark Skincare Cleanser – Ideal for Cleansing + Hydrating Your Skin & Feels Very Gentle
This bottle of cleanser by Ark arrived in a sealed branded cardboard box and was held within a 200ml pump dispensing bottle. The bottle dispenses a good amount of gel-based cleanser which has a lightweight consistency, is clear in colour with a pleasant botanical scent. This particular cleanser is ideal for people in 30s & 40s and is ideal for hydrating skin as you cleanse. The cleanser removes daily grime as well as make up with ease leaving skin feeling refreshed, soft and clean. I ordered this for myself and it effectively removes make up / pollutants whilst nourishing my skin and leaving it feeling moisturised as well. It hasn’t caused any adverse reactions to my skin and I like that it has ingredients included to retain moisture. The cleanser utilises quite a few natural ingredients including moringa oil to remove impurities and gently exfoliates, Vitamin A palmitate provides antioxidant support to protect the skin, kiwi and passion fruit lipids to provide nutrients with the passion fruit helping to reduce sensitivity and redness, Omegas 6 & 9 to combat moisture loss and blue lotus which is both an anti-inflammatory as well as helping keep the skin supple. This natural formula means that the cleanser is free from soap and artificial ingredients which means that cleanser has a natural gentle scent originating from the natural ingredients. The cleanser is ideal for middle aged skin due to the ingredients encourage collagen production, but it also effectively washes away impurities without damaging the skin’s natural skin barrier. The unisex cleanser is easy to use by applying to damp skin and the formula lathers to a creamy consistency which is easy to wash way with warm water. It effectively sweeps away impurities and has a non-comedogenic formula meaning a clearer complexion as it doesn’t block pores. The cleanser provides essential nutrients and also provides a decent level of hydration as well and it didn’t leave my skin feeling tight.Ark is a small UK company which creates its products in small batches within England and I’m impressed by the quality of this cleanser, particularly as it is suitable for sensitive skin and the formula is both vegan and cruelty free. Priced at £25.38 as a one-off purchase or £24.11 if you sign up to Amazon’s subscribe and save scheme at the time of reviewing, this is a lovely gentle cleanser that is perfect for cleansing and maintaining moisture levels in skin, so I would be more than happy to recommend it.

Fair product, but aimed at someone younger than me
This colourless gel-cleanser is pleasant and fresh-smelling. I'm not sure I could have identified any of the ingredients from scent alone, but I might not have much of a nose for scents. You apply it to dampened face, massage it in, and then rinse off, or use a wet cloth. At first, I didn't like that the instructions said to repeat this, but then I remembered that with my regular cleanser, I typically use micellar water FIRST, to remove the worst of the gunk, and only then proceed with the cleanser. So objectively, assuming both are in a similar price bracket, using one product twice is no different to using two separate products. It doesn't lather very much, but I'm not sure it's supposed to. The only drawback of this is that I tend to keep adding more to try to increase the lather, and this can be wasteful. It does leave my skin feeling clean, but perhaps slightly on the dry side. At 58, I'm outside the target age-range of 30s to 40s, so not sure if I needed something more intensively nourishing.Overall, I'm giving it four stars, as I do see potential, but find it rather expensive, and think perhaps the company's older range might have suited me better.

My sensitive skin liked this product
This lovely cleanser doesn’t cause me any irritation or dryness and I have sensitive skin. I use it at night before bed as part of my skin care routine.

Luxurious yet concentrated and different type of cleanser
The ARK Skincare Age Defend Conditioning Cleanser comes beautifully packaged in a lovely 200ml hard plastic bottle with a very easy-to-use pump. This cleanser is quite different from the ones I normally use, as it doesn't seem to lather at all. It's also very concentrated; I applied too much the first time I used it, which was excessive for covering my face and neck.I kept it on for 15 minutes and started feeling a tingling sensation. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not, as it doesn't indicate that it can be used as a mask. Removing it with just water was challenging due to the excessive amount I used and its jelly-like consistency, so I had to use a muslin face towel.Upon application, this cleanser felt very nourishing and had a luxurious, fruity scent that wasn't overpowering. It feels of superb quality, and I hope it works against the signs of ageing on my mid-40s skin. I'm still searching for the perfect cleanser at this age, but this is certainly a great product to try. My skin is combination, and I'm not sure if this would work on very dry or hyper-sensitive skin, as it felt like it over-cleaned my skin. However, it might strip excess sebum, making it potentially unsuitable for dry skin types.

This is a lovely cleansing product from ARK. It is gel based and although it doesn't seem to really foam up well it does a really good job at cleansing away makeup and my face feels clean after use.It smells really nice!It works well in conjunction with other products from the brand.Recommended, a lovely treat!
