Took some fiddling, but great fun in the end
Finger placement is closer to the mouth than a western concert flute so it took a bit of fiddling to figure out the best way to hold it. It also took several tries to figure out the right way to put on the dimo (you need to have wrinkles running perpendicular to the flute), but even a rush job that just covered the hole was good enough to get by in the beginning. All in all very good product, I’m having fun :)

Missing glue
My dizi didn’t come with the glue for the membrane.

I was very impressed with this flute. I watched Lots of YouTube videos talking about how cheap dizi's just don't play well. As soon as I played the first note I knew they were wrong. I used tape to cover the membrane hole at first but after applying the dimo the tone was much better. I definitely recommend that you watch some videos on how to do this properly. The flute itself is just beautiful. You would never know it wasn't crafted by a master. It has a wonderful tone and plays every note through the register clearly. I highly recommend this wonderful dizi.
