iTouchless AbsorbX Odor Removal Kit with Replaceable Deodorizer, Stick On Deodorizer Activated Carbon Filters Eliminate Smell in Refrigerator, Trash Can, Diaper Pail, Closet, Shoes, Locker (2-Pack)

This product works great for controlling odor, but the adhesive tape provided is garbage. Itried putting it on a diaper bin, and like others experienced, it wouldn't stay. I pulled it off (it came away by hand with ridiculous ease), and after scoring the smooth surface of the bin to which I wanted it attached, used a hot glue gun, and it's solidly stuck on there. As noted, if you choose to do the same, be sure to roughen the surface you want to put it on by scoring or crosshatching it with a knife, or rubbing with coarse sandpaper. Otherwise, the hot glue will not stick well enough to keep the box on. Hot glue does adhere very well to the box though, so prep your surface well, and you're good to go! In all other respects, I give this product full marks. It's completely removed the odor of a bin holding pads for bladder leaks, some pretty stinky stuff.

I was so happy with this product at first. My 2 cats don't always finish their (wet) food and it starts to stink up the garbage quickly. This took the odor down by a lot! Then one day it was smelling again and I saw it had fallen from the inside of the lid, and thrown out by accident. It also was heavy enough that it affected the speed of the lid opening. But it gets the smell down!

Sounds too good to be true an item that can remove bad odors and just stays attached seamlessly. It is just that though, as fantastic of an odor eliminator it is, the adhesive is absolutely horrible and does not hold up to it’s advertisement of sticking to any surface. Quite disappointing as it literally fell into the trash at some point and now is a waste of money.

Helpful addition. Helps keep down odors in the trashcan at its way over priced. The last one fill in like garbage unknowingly

I bought a double pack thinking it was going to be in two different cans. It did it’s job with odor absorption but they don’t stay on long. At most I got 2-3 days of sticking power and then it fell u to the trash can. I don’t know about you, but I don’t reach into the garbage unless absolutely necessary. Needless to say, BOTH ended in the garbage. I wish they would make one with stronger sticking power. I was so hopeful. So…. The search continues

My deodorizer disappeared. I even went through the garbage trying to find it. I ordered these to replace it but they are too small to fit into the contacts. I thought no problem, I'll stick it to the lid. Well, it was a problem. It's too heavy so the lid would not open. I really like my trash can but am very disappointed with this replacement.

LOVE this garbage can! There's the option to use batteries or you can use Power outlet.The can holds much much more than the size looks and some advice DONT LOSE THE RING THAT HOLDS THE BAG IN THE CAN because the top has hard time fitting right if you lose it and I'm not sure you can buy it.The batteries last forever. The mesh bag of deodorizer that comes with the can last awhile too(depends on use) it fits neatly into its own compartment that latches on to lid.Good buy. Great quality. Pretty stainless steel look with fantastic sensor motion detection.

UPDATE: I found another issue. They can pop open easily and drop the charcoal packet into the trash. Look elsewhere!I tried them on two different trash cans; an iTouchless with a plastic lid and a Rubbermaid made of hard rubber. They did not stick on either one and I cleaned both with alcohol to remove any grease They lasted less than 24 hours. I had to use 3M permanent two sided tape to get them to stay put. The iTouchless had an additional problem. The lid wouldn't open with the deodorizer attached. I had to stick on the inside rim so the lid would still work. I wouldn't buy them again. They aren't worth all the effort to install them.

Definitely reduced the garbage smell by over 90% - not completely, but a very big improvement. Some reviews said that the glue weakens after a few weeks, and the filter case will break loose from the inside top of the garbage lid. They are right. I even tried to reinforce it with some duck tape, but that too was little help. So I fastened the casing to the inside top of the garbage lid with two very small bolts and nuts - with the screws going from the outside of the garbage lid, through the lid, and into the produce case where the nut was placed on the bolt. Works perfect, and it took only 10 minutes to do this.
