Klean Kanteen Wide Water Bottle with Stainless Loop Cap (Brushed Stainless Single Wall, 27-Ounce)

I purchased both a 27-oz and a 40-oz (with wide-mouths for ease of cleaning) about 10 years ago, (plus another one as a gift), and they are great and I use them often. They have some dents from my dropping them, but it hasn't affected their utility. I screw the lids on firmly/well, and have not had problems with them leaking. (I might not recommend them as much to someone elderly or who otherwise might have trouble with this aspect.) Happy with the purchase.

TOP NOTCH!!!! If your looking for a great backpacking bottle, or just a great all around NON LEAKING bottle, that wont poison you with lead, or other harmful contaminants found in competitors water bottles...this is without a doubt for you!!! Took backpacking to the Seven Devils in Idaho, no regrets!! Also notable: My MSR Miniworks water filter screws right onto these bottles! This made the usual tedious choir of pumping spring water almost fun!! These bottles are light weight, and very durable. These are NOT vacuum, double walled bottles, but extended cool/hot time frames, and sweating are not a factor for me!!!

I have searched for the "Perfect" water bottle for my children for years now and I can honestly say I have found it! This wide mouth Klean Kanteen is fantastic and my kids LOVE it too! I was concerned about the plastic bottles they had been using, even though they were all BPA free they would develop odors and my daughter loves to chew on the plastic straws until bits were falling off. I could never get ice into the small openings of other plastic water bottles without most of it ending up on the floor and that's a hassle! This wide mouth allows me to get ice directly from my fridge dispenser with no spills because the opening is wide enough! Both of my kids love the fresh taste of their water and I love that it is stainless steel high grade material that won't make them sick! I can label their names on the bottom with a sharpie and it won't wash off!It is a bit industrial looking but they think that's pretty cool! It keeps water cold longer than plastic too and I just don't know why I waited so long to get this amazing water bottle! I'll take two more please!

Purchased the 27oz Klean Kanteen widemouth with matte finish to replace a worn out 32oz Nalgene widemouth bottle.Design:> smooth appealing shape, logo text started wearing off almost immediately> solidly made cap: metal insert in a heavy plastic lid. So contents only touch steel and o-ring> lid screws on easily and makes a watertight seal each time, no leaking to date> o-ring's rectangular lip is difficult to get ahold of when you want to pull it out for cleaning. Its easy enough to put back in place.Materials:> stainless steel while not easily dented, is not as thick as i'd like. Have dropped it from 2ft twice and the base now has a couple small dings.Note: from the outside, the steel appears smooth and seamless as if it were pressed into shape rather than welded together. However, on the inside there is an extremely precise seam running down one side from the mouth to the base.> despite having scratched up the steel bottle pretty well, the plastic lid only has one scuff and its only noticeable if you look for it.Usage:> I use the bottle daily: at home - sits on standard coasters driving - it is too tall to fit in the center console drink holder of my compact car. Have to store it in a different spot between the front seats. at work - being tall its center of gravity is higher, so have to be careful to not knock it over when moving equipment around hiking - fits in any standard bottle pouch biking - fits in standard bottle cage. Warning: if you use a steel cage it will scratch up the bottle quickly.> I only use the bottle for plain water. Have not noticed any metallic smell or taste at any time. However, nroticed that the water smells old/stale after just one use. - So if I thoroughly clean it, fill it, and leave it overnight, the water smells and tastes fresh and clean the next day. - If I clean it, fill it, take a drink, and leave it for 15 minutes, the water smells funny.The problem is clearly bacterial growth, not the bottle itself, but never had this experience with the Nalgene or other bottles I've tried.At first thought it might be because the Klean Kanteen lid screws on over the lip you drink from (capturing bacteria). However, that is the same configuration used by the Nalgene bottle that didn't have the issue.While puzzling, its not so bad that it affects my ability to use it. I just wipe the rim before closing it and clean it more often.Cleaning:> I use a standard bottle brush inside and scrub pad on the threads> Found that if I don't pull out the o-ring at each cleaning, bacteria starts to grow underneath it.Overall:It gets the job done, but will keep my eyes open for a thicker stainless steel bottle in the future.

This is the best yet. I think 27oz is the best size. I also own an older 20 oz.. but that one finishes up too soon. I looked at insulated, vs uninsulated.. decided uninsulated without extra weight is better since my plan is to consume only water not coffee. Wide mouth vs narrow.. i think wide is better - easier to clean. This is the best stainless steel water bottle I think on the market. I love this product. Plus amazon has great price. Recommend without any hesitation.

Fantastic canteen to have! It is made out of high grade stainless steel. I particularly like this aspect because I find that all polymer based water bottles, even if BPA free, smell strange and tend to leave the water with an undesirable aftertaste. The wide mouth opening is also nice since you can put ice cubes in it with ease. The only thing that I'm not a big fan of, although made very well, is the cap. I don't care for the loop, I would have opted for a flat flush cap and a necklace grove around the neck of the bottle. I also would have preferred made out of stainless steel. The only thing that I have not been able to test yet on this water bottle is how it handles heat/boiling water. The information booklet that comes with the water bottle states "This Kanteen is NOT designed for hot liquids", but I'm hoping they just say this because it is possible to thermally "warp" or shock the container which might result in the cap not being able to screw in properly.

Ich nutze die Flasche (0.8l) seit etwas über 2 Jahren täglich und möchte keine andere mehr haben. Sie hält dicht und lässt sich durch die weite Öffnung perfekt in der Spülmaschine reinigen. Sie hat auch schon mehrere Stürze problemlos überstanden. 0.8 Liter ist für die meisten Aktivitäten eine gute Größe. Und sie sieht gut aus. Kleine Anmerkung allerdings: Als Trinkflasche für die Grundschule ist die Flasche nicht geeignet, da sie relativ schwer ist, zu groß für das Seitenfach des Schulrucksacks und für Kinder nicht leicht zu öffnen.

Me ha gustado mucho la amplitud de la boca de la botella que permite beber con gran facilidad. Siempre que salgo a la calle, la llevo encima. Excelente compra.

2代目で同じサイズを探して、安価を見つけ購入した。けど、重さは軽くなり、その分汗をかくようになってしまった。薄くなった為と思われる。改良品？なのか、前の方がしっかりと重くて胴体部分の厚みが有って良かったかも知れない。バッグに持ち運ぶ時は、ボトルケースが必須です。私の場合、氷を大量に入れてますが熱い飲み物ならば相当熱が漏れる仕様だと思う。

Der Deckel geht über den Flaschenrand, also ist der Ort, den ich mit meinem Mund berühre vor Schmutz, Staub etc geschützt.noch ein allgemeiner Hinweis zu Trinkflaschen aus Metall mit Metalldeckeln: Metalle dehnen sich bei Hitze aus und schrumpfen bei Kälte. Physikalisch bedeutet das , dass auch der Pressdruck auf den Dichtungsring infolge einer Temperaturveränderung sich beim Abkühlen oder aufheizen verändert. wenn der Drcuk zu klein ist, werscheint es unddicht.Fazit:ic würde diese flasche in der Angenehmen Größe wieder Kaufen. und wie bei jeder Flsche sicherheitshalber senkrecht transportieren.
