Supergirl

My superhero loving daughter loves these books. She dreads reading for homeschool but actually looks forward to reading these. I like that they have some words highlighted in red with the glossary in the back. We've already ordered 2 more in the series.

A simply wonderful book for kids. Teaching kids to read can be a chore, especially when they don't enjoy what they're reading. But this book is ideal, our 6 year old granddaughter loves superheroes, especially the girls, so we got her this lovely book. Good quality paper, beautifully colored illustrations, an engaging story & best of all, important words are marked in blue, you go to the back of the book & it breaks down the word into phonetics & explains what the words mean. At 6 years old, our granddaughter can now read this book by herself and enjoys reading it. By letting kids read what interests them rather than some awful book foisted on them at school, it will lead to them enjoy reading & give them the confidence to read more. The Batgirl book is also worth getting.

The book about a girl superhero is great.

My four year old is obsessed with these superhero books. They are well written, short enough for her to pay attention to and have great illustrations.

This quick read walks through the life of Kara Zor-El from the time she left Krypton in a pod to when she has become part of a family on Earth, and made the decision to use her newfound powers to help others. It explores her relationship with Superman, and how he helps her adjust.As the title says, this is an origin story, a well presented rendition of who she is and how she started being a hero.
