Dorman 911-629 Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Compatible with Select Chevrolet/Pontiac/Toyota Models

Saved a ton on buying this one over buying at the local parts store. Seems to work great and I changed the activated charcoal in the canister myself by watching a youtube video saving a ton more. My engine check light is off at least on my 2002 Toyota Corolla. I thing if you are reading this review and that is you can clean these out to function again without replacing, because I did both mine on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD. I used Mass Air Sensor cleaner, small clips wires, and a 12 volt battery.

I installed this Dorman 911-629 vent solenoid on my 2003 Corolla. I had a check engine light with a P0446. I already had put a used charcoal canister on so I did a solenoid test with a car battery. The old solenoid did make a switch noise but it sounded to faint. I decided to buy this solenoid and swap it. What a difference when the solenoid works. My Check engine light turned off.

My mechanic was able to install it and it was cheapest price I found.

Exact match for my Toyota Corolla. This is the SVS that is located underneath the trunk at the charcoal canister.

Received very timely. Solved my check engine error code P0446. Original valve was toasted after 200,500 miles. Drop in replacement. Check you tube and forums for help on diagnosis and replacement procedures. They were extremely helpful.

Cleared check engine light,it hasnt come back yet, make sure you order the right valve,my car has the one with the nipples facing opposite sides,i ordered this one,had to buy longer hoses to make it work,

It was advertised & Amazon said it would fit my 2002 Corolla,but it didn’t fit-so I sent it back for a full refund!
