When my storm glass came in it was damage free. We set up on our table eagerly awaiting changes ib the crystals. Well ... weeks went by and nothing. I saw some posts on google on how to "Reset" your storm glass. It says to place the glass in a plastic bag. then have a container large enough to submerge it in very hot tap water ( not boiling water) as too hot will crack the glass) I started with very warm water then every 15 minutes i would add hotter water and so on until i got it hot enough yu could leave your hand in it without burning yourself. then every 5 minutes shake the glass to dissolve the crystals. once all water is clear, dry off your glass and place on holder. They say place it near a window overnight. I was amazed to see a full glass of fluffy crystals showing rain in the forecast. IT WORKS!!! Note: I placed my storm glass in a ziploc bag for ease of taking it out of the water to shake it every 5 minutes because it was very slippery when wet and hard to grab hold of it.

This was a waste of money. All the white stuff always sits on the bottom. Looks like a tear of water with white on the bottom. Do not recommend..

I admit this is a pretty ornament for my home, but it absolutely does not tell the weather. I wanted to buy this as a gift, but the box came ripped! Didnt have the time to return this, but very disappointed.

Smaller than I thought but has a nice shape. Unfortunately the container has just a little bit of snow, it barely covers the bottom of the jar. I am really disappointed as I got it for my Husband. The only saving grace is that I put it on a small table and it looks nice.
