I've purchased a few different Kyusu type teapots, as well as some gaiwans and easy gaiwan type of tea pots. For most of them, there have been a lot of things I both liked and disliked about them. But with this specific size and design is the one I've finally landed on as my favorite. It is well-suited for everything from Japanese Gyokuro to Chinese Puerh tea.The interior is unglazed, which is a very good thing. You can see it is a reddish-brown earthenware color on the inside, the same as the natural clay which looks like it was high in iron oxides, which some say can improve the quality of your tea in much the same way as a cast iron teapot will. I don't know if that's true, but I certainly have no complaints about the taste of teas I've brewed with this pot.As you can see in the product photos, the mesh is on top, by the pour spout, much in the same way that an "easy gaiwan" is designed. At first I wasn't sure about that design, compared to a ceramic mesh in front of an actual spout, but ultimately I've found that this allows for both easier cleaning and better pouring than other designs; you can avoid problems such as very mushy gyokuro leaves clogging the mesh this way.There's a lot of junk on amazon that is not so great. Which makes this pot all the more precious; it really stands out because of its high quality and well-thought-out design.

Sehr gute Qualität und Verarbeitung auf hohem handwerklichen Niveau. Feines Material und schöne nuancierte Glasierung.Ich benutze die Kanne für zwei Schalen Grüntee oder auch alternativ gerne voll befüllt mit einer großen Teezange/Sieb welches ich dann entnehme nach der Ziehzeit.
