Very easy and simple MURS radio!
My family and I use MURS radios when were caravating to the game or on a camping trip these are very useful radios very rugged and amazing range you can’t go wrong.

Nice and small.
Works but seems low on power as the distance was relatively short, like I can’t call to my wife in the house from my mailbox and my driveway is less than a quarter mile long.

Heres how to program and set the squelch on this radio.
Ok, if you go to the Retevis website and download the programming software for the Retevis RB38V murs radio, you can use that to program the Bandaricomm radio. It's the exact same radio. You do need a programming cable to do the programming but you can set the squelch lower so you aren't missing the first seconds of the transmission. I set mine to level 2.You can also set the radio to transmit on high or low power, and YOU CAN EVEN TURN THE WEATHER RADIO ON!!!!!!!! I set it as the long press on my #1 side button and #2 is currently set for monitor. There are about 7 or 8 options for the side buttons you can select.I'm going to use it at work, (Walmart so we use channel 4) and I'll report back my review. I work in the Auto Care Center as an Auto Care Tech, so I'm in the farthest corner of the store. It should give me an idea of how much reach it has, especially when I'm in the pit doing an oil change. My wife and I and a co-worker are currently using the Retevis RT27V and we're having good luck with that radio, so I'm looking forward to trying the Bandaricomm out again. My first time using it, I also had the squelch issue where I was missing the first second or so of what the conversation was.More to come as I try it.dannyo66.

Decent, with caveats
I want do much to give this radio more than 3 stars. It's built well, and has the features I need in a small foolproof MURS radio. But I do have what I consider a major issue. Channel 3 receives a ton of interference from somewhere in or around my house. This also affects channel 2 but to less effect.I have test it with stock antenna, a knockoff Nagoya 701 and a real NA701 antenna and all receive the interference. This does not happen on my RB27V or my 3 dual banders, only on this.I still give it 3 stars because maybe this is a localized phenomenon you might not run into elsewhere. Also despite the ad saying "USB Chargeable" and it's daddy the RB38V is (via USB powered cradle) this is not, it comes with a conventional desktop charger. The last issue I have is with the antenna. The antenna jack for this radio is SMA-M.If you have aot of radios like us, you probably have a ton of aftermarket SMA-F antennas but few, if any SMA-M.In fact I only have ONE radio that uses SMA-M... So I only had 2 antennas. The NA701 and clones are a bit big for this radio. You'd be better hunting for VHF specific stubby or bullet antenna.Overall I LIKE the radio, it's rugged, there's no knobs to pull off, I actually quite like channel toggle switch. The in-body display is a nice touch. This is a decent kids radio. If any of the above mentioned shortcomings don't bother you.I am curious if the Retevis radio suffers the same interference issue as this, I may test it. But I am not sure I want to pay $10 MORE for that and have it be the same problem. It's a shame I have this issue, because I prefer this style over the RB27V.

Ok for $20. (Was reduced)
Does pickup quite a bit of interference noise occasionally.

ILLEGAL
Since this product is not a certified MURS radio with FFC cert no. inside the chassis, I deem this to be a piece of garbage.

Pretty good little MURS radio
Bought one of these and ended up coming back for a second one. Range seems pretty good. Confirmed with the company that you can clone from one to another which makes it easy to set up multiple units once you have one programmed to your needs. As mentioned the Retevis RB38V software can be used to set up squelch, tones, defaults, etc. One other thing that I couldn't figure out but company rep quickly answered was that you can check the battery status with a quick/short tap of the power button.

Microphone needs an upgrade
The audio gain is very weak and makes the receiver a challenge. Otherwise I think (so far) the build quality appears to be good. Time will tell.
