A graceful wisdom keeper's treasure
Asha Frost is a gentle, wise, and generous wisdom keeper sharing her traditional practice in this deck. The cards and a beautifully written guidebook with simple and powerful rituals have been my meaningful companion, together with Asha's groundbreaking book "You Are the Medicine." Asha's long experience as a facilitator of ceremonies has informed her very interactive writing in which you will engage by answering questions and doing suggested practices. A truly deep and accessible resource for practitioners of Earth spirituality. The physical quality of cards is also excellent, and of course so is the artwork.

A Must Read for Those on a Healing Journey
This book affirmed so much I’ve been noticing on my healing journey. I will read this book repeatedly to truly embody all of its wisdom. The format of each chapter is amazing. I loved the stories, meditations, reflection questions, and prayers. I’m so grateful that the author shared her medicine and wrote this book.

This book is meant to be savored!
The author’s compassion, kindness, depth, and connection to her ancestors make this book completely exceptional. It’s the most impactful moon book I’ve read. With other moon books, I breezed through—and still enjoyed, but I walked away feeling like I didn’t learn anything. But THIS book, I have so many underlines. I’m still digesting all the nuggets of wisdom Asha Frost has shared, but of course, that’s how true medicine works. The most powerful is known for its lingering effects.

Healing the Healer
The media could not be loaded. This book will become a classic that all healers will know, cherish and talk about. Asha Frost has a gift for holding sacred space and I could feel this throughout the book. You are the Medicine reached all parts of me: it let the scared parts know they were safe, while giving permission for my light to shine a bit brighter. All parts were listening at once: my inner child, my shame, my light, my wounds, my joy, my healer.Asha shares about trauma, capacity, reciprocity, protection and boundaries, all the things we healers struggle with. You are the Medicine is raw, vulnerable, honest while also being nurturing, safe, joyful and wondrous! It will ignite (and protect) your Soul!

Not Sure If You Need This Book? You do.
Asha has a true talent for storytelling. She has beautifully woven together tales of her ancestors, stories of the present, and actionable steps that anyone from any walk of life can work into their lives to heal and reconnect with their knowing. My only issue with this book is that it is so interesting that I'm reading it too quickly rather than stopping to savor each chapter. I suppose a re-read will be in order.

So many insights within this beautiful book!
This book drew my attention after reading a quote from another author about the maple tree, which spoke to me particularly because of my work as a grief counselor. So many of the insights that Asha shared within the book resonated with me personally and have been insights that I have shared with my clients, whom I have encouraged to get the book for themselves.I now keep the book at my bedside, and re-read chapters based on what month and moon we are in.

I will return to this book again and again
Captivating from the first page, Asha invites us on a journey of remembering who we truly are and exploring the healing, wisdom and brilliance we are here to experience and share. This book resonates with Asha’s unique spirit and beautiful voice, and her vulnerability, strength, courage and empowerment. I feel like she is talking to me directly. She invited me to reflect, vision and heal in relationship to the beautiful stories, teachings, journeys and reflections she shares, while at the same time calling me to “be invested in learning about how colonization, oppression, and racism have affected [Indigenous] people.” In Asha’s book, the two go hand in hand in a very meaningful way. She models for us an approach of humility, respect and reciprocity, and ways to learn from Indigenous teachings without appropriating them while connecting to our own lineage, ancestors and traditions.Although I read this book from cover to cover over a matter of a few weeks, I love that I could also choose to do a deep dive into each chapter with each of the 13 moons of the year and make it an annual journey of healing and learning. Alternatively, I could focus on whichever chapter focuses on what my heart and spirit need most at the time. There is so much richness and generosity here in the gathering of moon and animal teachings, journeys, personal stories, areas of focus, prompts for us to reflect, and affirmations in each chapter. Asha’s personal stories and experiences add depth and heart and helped me to absorb and connect more deeply with everything she shared.Asha’s explanation of what “medicine” means, in her ways of knowing, was illuminating for me. Through this book, Asha helped me to explore more deeply what my medicines may be and what healing I need to do myself to share the gifts I have been given with others in a more loving and empowered way. Although I travel ‘my own’ spirituality and faith path, there was so much in Asha’s words that resonated with me spiritually and pointed to the deeper love, sacredness, connectedness and inherent divinity or spirit in all creation, as well as our responsibility to live ethically and with purpose.“You are the Medicine” is the kind of book I will return to again and again. The final chapter in particular is very motivating and inspiring, weaving all of the animal teachings, gifts and messages from previous chapters together and inviting us to live our medicines and gifts and create and dream into being from a place of courage, wholeness and love.I have been blessed to be in some of Asha’s circles both in person and online, and this book is the closest one could get, in print form, to feeling that I am sitting in circle there with her again. I imagine the audiobook version, recorded in her voice, will be incredibly powerful. I am so excited that through “You Are the Medicine” more people will benefit from Asha’s beautiful and loving spirit.Thank you Asha for the privilege and blessing of reading this book. I look forward to the next one!

GOOD PURCHASE
I love everything about this book. I read each month the part that corresponds to the moon phase and all the information related to this period. And when the year is over, I start again. It's a bedside table book for me.

A gem of a book that might become a life time companion
Thank you Asha for this tender book! It became a favourite book of mine that I revisit regularly, and each time I receive so much from it!What captivated me the most about Asha’s work is how open-hearted she is. I swear I could feel her kind presence whenever I held her book.In this gem, Asha shares about :- Riveting and wisdom-filled stories, inspired by her indigenous heritage.- Her journey embracing her inner healer.- Meditative and reflective practices to connect with our own medicine.- Ways to “appreciate instead of appropriate” Indigenous traditional ways of knowing. And much more!So much gratitude to you,Aicha
