A game with a difference!
Well, it is for me anyway, and I’m a 65 year old experienced gamer! A fun game that has lots of replayability and various mechanics that get a comical storyline evolving as the game goes on. Each player is a persona in the accused’s head, trying to guide Guy to freedom whilst the Prosecutor, which can be handled by a player or played automatically as a non-player entity, is going to convict him of the offence, apparently a bank robbery! Worth buying imho, very good quality components and a link to the home page of the designer site gives an extra set of the rules for adding the auto Prosecutor. Give it a go!

More players means more fun
The first time my family played this game there were only 3 of us, but the next time we played we had 6. It was a lot more fun with 6, so I recommend you gather a group of family and friends to get max enjoyment. My kids love to get together and play board games every weekend, so much so that they actually carry board games in their trunks so they can play them whenever and wherever they find time and people. This game is a huge hit because it's unique and more of a challenge. Luckily, the rules and instructions are very thorough and easy to understand. However, it did take some time for everyone to get the hang of it. I love that more than one person has the opportunity to win and that there's some luck involved. If you are tired of playing the same type of game over and over, then you need to try this one. It's completely different and will shake up your game night.

Great game, need players!
First, I love the concept of this game. Our family is a big "game night" family and this game is great for us - but it might not be as great for you - there are a couple of reasons for this!I'll start with the good. It is CLEVER, by being different aspects of Guy's personality you make him into a very funny character as he often contradicts himself and common sense. It make for amusing game play.We love that there can be more than one winner. This is big with the kids who like to win more often than the adults need to win to have fun. You are a winner if you achieve your goal and more than one person can achieve their goal in this game. The artwork and game setup is brilliant and it is very fun to play. The "downsides..." The rules are complicated compared to most games out there. If you are not wanting to put a little effort into understanding the gameplay and keep the rulebook out at the start, then this may not be your cup of tea.The biggest thing is that I feel like this game is stunted if you do not have enough players. They have made up for this by having people take multiple roles and such, but I feel like you need at least four or five players to really bring this game to full life.Whoops, hit the submit by accident, I wasn't done!Anyway, this is a fun game for people who play games and love games. It might not be as good for people who just grab a game and want it to be fun right away. It takes some effort to get down solid. But not anything heroic. Just more than average I guess.Would I recommend this game? Absolutely, I love supporting new game ideas and I love supporting creative game makers, and this game is all of that - plus it is clever and fun. I have not tried their other game Initiative but it might be fun too if it is as clever as Voices in My Head. I could not help but think of the Netflix interactive movie, Bandersnatch as we were playing this - with the voices in his head telling him to say and do things he would not have otherwise done.Very good idea for a game and rewarding to play. Four stars!

Really ingenious game.
This game is not for everyone. I got it for my daughter, who just got her degree in counseling. Now she gets to play with the brain of the character at the center of the game. There is a steep learning curve at the beginning. And the type of play really has to interest you for you to keep going with it and want to do it again. I personally love it and want to meet the creative mind (mad genious?) that came up with it. I don't get to play it often enough, because I can never seem to find enough people to make a requisite 5 or 6 players. You really need the maximum to make it fun. As a graduation gift for a psychology major it is perfect!

This game is very unique, though I don’t feel like I would play it very often.
Because I own several other games by the designer of this game and because this game has such an original concept, I had very high hopes for it. However, after playing it a few times, I really feel like it is not going to make it out onto my game table very often. This game is one of the most unique I have played in a couple of years. However, being unique does not translate to being fun. So far, I have played this game at player counts of three, four, and five players. Every time I played, I played the “role” of the prosecutor. I did this because each time I played the game, I was also teaching it to new players. The role of the prosecutor has the most to learn and it was just more simple for me to take on that role. I lost all three times that I played the game. I really felt like the game was quite random and that I had very little agency in manipulating the outcome in such a way that I would win the game. The veteran gamers that I played with also agree that the game seemed a bit too random. All of them are kind of “meh” on the title. One said he didn’t want to ever play it again. While my feelings on the game are not nearly that strong, I agree that I have 100 other games that I would rather play. I don’t for see this game lasting more than a year or two in my collection before I give it away to someone else. I still have a lot of faith in this designer and look forward to seeing what other games he produces in the future. This particular game, though, is not for me.
