Works well, but too big and too heavy
Bought this unit based on reviews and the price, it is not as expensive as others. I am impressed with the results, it made easy work of removing some minot scratches. What I had underestimated was the size and weight of the unit, it is just too big and bulky to easily manoeuvre on any vertical surfaces, and the 7" backing plate is much t0o big for any delicate work on a car. I guess one could get a different backing plate, but that would not help with the size and weight. If I was working on a boat, panel van or a caravan, I think this unit would be perfect, as it would make easy work of the large, mostly flat surfaces. For a car with creases in the panels and other design element, it feels way to big.Another issue I have with the unit is that the cable is just too short, and I keep tugging at my extension reel, should have had a meter more cable at least.Still, excellent value and did the job. However, I have since ordered a smaller unit that fits what I need to do better.I may still use this one on the larger surfaces, i.e roof, hood/bonnet, time will tell.

Initially this was a good deal, but!
On opening the box I was presented with a very sturdy piece of kit plus lots of polishing heads. It has a very strong motor so hang on, I was working on a platform to polish my Motorhome, several time was almost thrown of balance but the results are certainly worth it. Sadly it's stopped working after only 5 outings. So will be returning it to Amazon for a replacement. I will say the motor when running didn't sound the good, so perhaps not a professional tool.

Disk locking button is a weak point
Generally pleased with the item. However, after a couple of uses the small plastic button that should lock the spindle so the disk can be removed doesn't work. Have solved it by purchasing a low-cost pressed steel 17mm bicycle spanner from Ebay - this is thin enough to fit the flat on the spindle just above the pad.Frankly, one of these spanners should be included with the product. I don't know if the plastic button locking thingy is replaceable - am still debating whether to return the product for replacement.

Worth the price
Worth the money.Used on car just to polish using black fine pad.Wasn't going to buy an expensive one.Didnt have deep stretches to remove ,just used black pad for applying wax and polish.Know what your doing if using more aggressive pads as constant use will remove the protective top coat.
