I ordered both of these products at the same time because the smaller box comes with replacements, which I plan on using with the other taller box. The replacements fit perfectly for either type box scratchers.You may recognize my cats from my review with the tall box. Our cats love to sit on top of the boxes to rest or scratch. In the picture with (3) cats that is L- R Simba in the smaller box, Shiloh is inside the tall box and Percy is on top of the tall box. He is one heavy cat. But the boxes have held firm. I purchased another one because I saw how much they liked it and I didn't want them fighting over it........LOL...... These cats are like our children and they are so well taken care of fixed, receive great flea product and great WERUVA cat food.In the other picture, you can see what the box is starting to look like NOW weeks later because SIMBA who is laying on top of the box likes to chew on that one box. He is the only cat that does that.....thank goodness.I stop him when I see him chewing on the box. But eventually, I will have to replace that box.........LOLOL

These scratch pads are a convenient size to put in various places around the house and my cats go to them several times a day. I have scattered several and left one in the box and all of them get used. I have been able to redirect my cats from furniture to the scratch pads and they willingly and readily use the pads. I did not give the pads a 5 because they are definitely destructible, but I feel they are lasting long enough for the price and offer an outlet to my cats while they last; I do plan on replacing these with the same scratch pad when both sides wear out.

These work perfectly for around my litter box to catch loose litter. My cat prefer them loser rather then in the box they come in.

The box is deep and keeps most of the shredded cardboard inside as she tears it up. She feels safe inside and the dog respects her enough that if his ball falls in he barks for help. She has claws! We recommend leaving the extra layers out in the garage to air out because they seem to have an odd smell that is likely part of the production. The smell fades quickly (I am sensitive to scents so It's probaby not as bad as I think it is) but it's the same for all 3 orders. Why did we need 3? Our cat couldn't get into the bathroom while my son took a long shower and rather than piddle on the floor she sacrificed her beloved scratch box and used it instead. Of course, we had to get her another! So it seems the next purchase is a kitty door for the bathroom.

This is a great cardboard scratcher. I like it because the edge of the box is high, keeping the shreds of cardboard from falling out onto the floor. I would have given this five stars if there were different sizes available . I have a large cat (not fat) and he loves to lay down in in the box.

Update: As I mentioned in my first review, I kept these scratch boxes even though my 2 cats refused to lay in them (and they love boxes). SO, after 3 months now, after refusing to pay them any mind, both of my cats are taking their naps in these boxes! I'm so happy I kept them. I'm giving these boxes 5 stars now!Original review: These are nice sturdy boxes (I brought 2), but they are a little too small for my 20lb cats. I kept them because you get 5 scratch pads with each box, so I put one box down for them to sit in (alternatively), and lay the scratch pads directly on the floor for scratching, not perfect, but made it work!

The media could not be loaded. The cats (both 7 mos old) love this scratching box AND have extras for back up. Recommended for cat lovers.

There are a lot of box scratchers for cats but this was a good size for the main hallway and comes with the 4 refills. Will likely last a while. The box is solid and doesn't look too cheap out in the open. Cats love it and one sleeps in it regularly.

They are very thin and you can lift one up and see through it - but I bought them again because the cat loves them - its just too bad you cant just buy the replacements
